Halifax
1) Draisaitl
2) Hintz
3) Rielly

As a leafs fan, and a guy who likes marner (hence half of my name), I really don't think he has been our most impactful player. I get the point argument, but he got 3 assists in game 1, a game where I found him rather poor. ROR/Rielly have been critical in scoring and orchestrating critical goals. Matthews has been excellent on both sides of the rink. Marner has played well, but I think there isn't a clear argument of him over the other 3.
Rielly has been terrible defensively as usual .

Yeah, but that chart isn't a very accurate representation of regular season vs playoff scoring.

Guys like Draisaitl and Mackinnon get rewarded for being 50-60 point regular season scorers in years they missed the playoffs.

It should only include seasons that a player made the playoffs to be accurate.

It`s really early and anything can happen. Drai, Marner, Hintz change from game to game. I have a feeling McDavid will get hot eventually too.
Brave guess that the worlds best player who had a torrid pace over the entire year might get "hot"(ie score at or close to his per game average).

I'll do one for each of the remaining teams and put them in order

1) NJD - Akira Schmidt
2) DAL - Roope Hintz
3) FLA - Matthew Tkachuk
4) EDM - Leon Draisaitl
5) TML - Mitch Marner
6) SEA - Philipp Grubauer
7) VGK - Alex Pietrangelo
8) CAR - Sebastion Aho

I think 2 - 5 are pretty much interchangeable though

1. Matthew f***ing Tkachuk

He is unreal. Does everything on the ice. He scores, he passes, he hits and chirps. Must be the frontrunner now for 99% of ppl. It`s one thing to score points, but when you actually also make your opponents playing miserable too its over the top. And this against Boston and Toronto

Yes. As at right now, it would be kind of dull to even list a top3. Tomorrow, maybe, but right now it has to be unanimous.

He's done it all year. Absolutely put the team on his back. If Connor McDavid didn't have a historic season (even for Connor McDavid), MT would deserve MVP votes.

If Edmonton wins the Cup, McDavid will win the Conn Smythe - no matter how many points Dr. Drai has.
