2. Nash the person, nice guy. Nash the athlete, expensive dick. I said in the other thread I believe in booing the other teams best players regardless (Forsberg is my best example, hell of a player but hated playing against him). I think Nash crossed the line form being just that to be something more of a dirt bag with going after Bob. As a player you take abuse from the goalie. Period. You get back in subtle ways like scoring, screening, tapping, etc. but not what Nash did and that lowered the bar for his behavior on the ice. Off, if he wants to get a beer, sure. On, I'll go back to cheering kill jack kill just like at UM.

haha. Really? Bob abused and taunted him the whole night. There was that awesome trip that Bob hit him with earlier.

Honestly, I had no issue with that exchange. Bob wasn't going to get hurt and Bob was clearly taunting him.

I thought it was great on both sides.

Of course, I'm odd as well. I don't share your angst over that play. Bob was a bit of a ***** and I like that out of our goaltender. I really like it. But if you do that **** you better expect that someone is going to lose their patience with you. Bob can handle himself and he was clearly looking for that type of response.

Now if this was Nash just flat out running him over on the way to the net, I would be more on your side. Too many forwards are too reckless and risk hurting goaltenders to get them off their game.

His action was going to increase the rivalry; so I'm not surprised by this response. Since I love this type of gamesmanship, I don't have an issue with it. I wish Nash had shown more of that as a Jacket. Bob was looking for that type of response and Nash obliged.

Bob clearly has some agitator in him. Jenner does it differently. Johansen is starting to develop a bit of a taunt himself with that ****-eating grin of his. Someone is going to want to beat him senseless down the line. In which case 85% of our team will respond and destroy the guy that goes after Johansen.

Way to go Columbus! :handclap:

Hopefully the CBC will have the series the Jackets are in. I understand the reasons for a series against the Rangers (Rick Nash) and the Penguins (3.5 hours freeway drive). The Flyers have Mason. The Bruins, like the Rangers, it's something special to play an O6 team.

I just would prefer a player go back at he goalie another way, agitate back. It's not hard really.

On another god if Jenner turns on his hitting like the WJC Jenner then everyone needs to look out.

I watched the interview that Nash had after the game and he was asked why he went after Bob. He said Bob whacked him twice and he went to pick up stick but Bob flinged his stick aside. Said he knows Bob was trying to get his team going and he was doing the same.

Also, not sure if was this thread or not but someone complained that Nash didn't
acknowledge the fans after the video. In his interview, he said he still loves the fans and the video/ovation did mean a lot to him and he was thankful for that.

Here's the video. Also explains why he fought Calvert.

No dog in the fight but for the record I was at that game and only a few rows above Nash during the tribute to him... He did skate in a very tiny circle but in no way overtly acknowledged the tribute with a raised stick, hand or even head bob... My opinion, there is no love lost between Rick Nash and the current CBJ roster…

CBJ go 2-0 vs Florida and they have 81% chance of New York Rangers. Drops to 66% if they go 1-0-1.

As long as they win 1 game, they have 77% chance of NOT playing Boston.

As I said I don't see what the big deal was. I can respect that you would prefer another method, but I after the initial booing all I did was start laughing.

Bob's a big boy.
