The Canucks are quietly the only team to not win a game so far

You love to see it
That’s pretty rude. Canucks have been the worst team of the decade.

I’m a Canucks fan I remember the exact intersection I was at when I found out on the radio Oilers won McDavid. I WAS PUMPED!!
Crosby and Ovechkin only came to town once a year, I was happy I could see a player of this caliber in my lifetime frequently.

Even though McDavid owns us, I’m still grateful for him being close. Even if we don’t win a cup, we still wanna give you guys good competition

Their only good defenseman doesn’t actually play defense.

Seems incredibly obvious what their problem is.

How the hell are you supposed to defend a lead with those guys back there?

Have you seen Panthers defense :)

That's a pretty cool story.

If the Canucks continue to flounder they can have their own Connor. Ain't that exciting? :naughty:

I don’t understand why their record under BB last season was that of a playoff team but they start winless in 5 games this season. Why doesn’t it translate from last season to this season? At least not yet.

They've been in the lead most of the time they're playing. They just can't close it out, which is definitely a thing that not every team can do.

A lot easier to play loose and without worry when you're way out of a playoff spot and the games down the stretch don't really matter to you versus the start of this year when everyone is starting from zero and games matter.

It's why, in general, I'm always skeptical of teams who play hot down the stretch when they're out of a playoff spot carrying it over to the next season.

they were in the race at the end with maybe 10 games to go. Vancouver/Toronto is unlike any other markets, the media keeps the pressure on at all times. If we are talking pure coaching, the assistant coach responsible for defense last year was hired by Philadelphia. Brad Shaw was very much a big player in the turnaround last year.

Looking at this year, 5 on 5 they are respectable, they are getting killed nightly in the PK, and Demko not being all star caliber is a large reason for the early season woes. The forwards were always shoddy on D (Pettersson excluded), but Demko was a brick wall last year and covered up a lot of warts.

The games are a reflection of how the team is built. Forwards are scoring but the D can't keep the puck out of the net to save their life.

If a guy under 6 feet on the Canucks roster doesn’t tie his skates right Boudreau will scratch his a$$

Meanwhile you got scrubs like Pearson who leads the league in minors and his ice time goes up.
