He sure is quietDidn't someone make a pre-season thread about them having the best forward group in the league? Where's that guy now?

That’s pretty rude. Canucks have been the worst team of the decade. You love to see it
Their only good defenseman doesn’t actually play defense.
Seems incredibly obvious what their problem is.
How the hell are you supposed to defend a lead with those guys back there?
That's a pretty cool story. That’s pretty rude. Canucks have been the worst team of the decade.
I’m a Canucks fan I remember the exact intersection I was at when I found out on the radio Oilers won McDavid. I WAS PUMPED!!
Crosby and Ovechkin only came to town once a year, I was happy I could see a player of this caliber in my lifetime frequently.
Even though McDavid owns us, I’m still grateful for him being close. Even if we don’t win a cup, we still wanna give you guys good competition
That was me. I apologize for that thread and I apologize for using the word quietly and turning it into a meme.Didn't someone make a pre-season thread about them having the best forward group in the league? Where's that guy now?
The Canucks are third in the league in minutes leading. Decent team skill wise, just too many players that are mentally fragile. Doesn't help that Demko has been terrible.

Oh man, that's the team I'd most want to get Bedard (besides my team). They deserve it.Low key if they got Bedard would be sick. McDavid and Bedard would ignite the rivalry between those teams
YupThat's a pretty cool story.
If the Canucks continue to flounder they can have their own Connor. Ain't that exciting?
Also true, at least they were supposed to have Ekblad and they have a Barkov who might as well be a D when he’s out thereHave you seen Panthers defense
They've been in the lead most of the time they're playing. They just can't close it out, which is definitely a thing that not every team can do.I don’t understand why their record under BB last season was that of a playoff team but they start winless in 5 games this season. Why doesn’t it translate from last season to this season? At least not yet.
A lot easier to play loose and without worry when you're way out of a playoff spot and the games down the stretch don't really matter to you versus the start of this year when everyone is starting from zero and games matter.I don’t understand why their record under BB last season was that of a playoff team but they start winless in 5 games this season. they were in the race at the end with maybe 10 games to go. Vancouver/Toronto is unlike any other markets, the media keeps the pressure on at all times. If we are talking pure coaching, the assistant coach responsible for defense last year was hired by Philadelphia. Brad Shaw was very much a big player in the turnaround last year.A lot easier to play loose and without worry when you're way out of a playoff spot and the games down the stretch don't really matter to you versus the start of this year when everyone is starting from zero and games matter.
It's why, in general, I'm always skeptical of teams who play hot down the stretch when they're out of a playoff spot carrying it over to the next season.
