The Canucks are quietly the only team to not win a game so far

Their big offseason was extending the players that didn't get them into the playoffs last year either.

At least they are not getting blown out 6-1 by the Pittsburgh Senior Citizens.

The Canucks are third in the league in minutes leading. Decent team skill wise, just too many players that are mentally fragile. Doesn't help that Demko has been terrible.

They sgould try to play a full 60 mins like they want a lead...

Just imagine each period atarts 0-0 lol

Can’t hit the panic button and quietly be doing something else! Cmon now

Putrid defence and Demko playing below average

once it hits 0-6-2, logic says its time to go all out for Bedard. but, Vancouver teams always roars back to be a bubble team after the new years.

Vancouver fans are happy Myers is back. I mean, Myers! It says all about their defense.

Why didn't they sign Lyubushkin? RHD defensive specialist and not very expensive. Again they have a lot of Russians. I don't understand it.
ask dingus Allvin, instead he signed a bunch of wingers which we didnt need

I’ve read on these boards that the Canucks are “riddled with injuries” and ‘no team would have a chance if Demko would bring his A game’.

Team looks really decent in the first two periods of every game so far... Petey playing really well, Kuzmenko looks like the real deal, Horvat leading team scoring like a boss...

But I think the Canucks have only scored one 3rd period goal in 5 games, so that's a big part of it right there. Special teams are really garbage right now, Demko isn't stealing games like he usually does, Miller getting overused and making tons of errors, and now on top of all that the team is now pyched out... in their own heads about blowing leads. Making it happen by panicking about the possibility of it happening. Sticks getting gripped so tight in the 3rd, they're almost snapping them in half. I think this might even get worse before it gets better, you guys.

Also one of only two teams to start the season with a 5 game road trip. Gotta love flying across the continent and multiple time zones to play 5 games in the course of a little over one week.

The Canucks organization should be really freaking worried about how quick apathy is setting in among the fanbase. I used to get frustrated and angry BEFORE tuning out in utter indifference. Now it feels like I'm literally skipping the frustration and anger part. 5 games in and it's like whatever, I have better things to be concerned about, like the rising cost of....everything. Something these millionaire players are barely feeling at all.

It's been incredibly frustrating and they look very fragile at times in their defensive zone. It's almost hard to quantify. Like 3-7 times per game they make peewee level 'everybody chase the puck' type mistakes that probably speak partly to not trusting the process because currently it keeps failing them.

There have been posts at really inopportune times, bad calls against at bad times, some of our stars are playing mediocre (Boeser, Horvat, Garland), Hughes was ill but is playing 2nd most in the NHL and looks terrible (legs aren't under him, falling and looks like he doesn't trust himself, thought in some ways tonight was a step in the right direction), and Miller looks catastrophic. Almost like he's a double agent with some of the awful, selfish and stupid shit that he's doing. Hoping he figures it out. And Demko has been poor (awful by his own standards, sub-mediocre overall).

Add it up and the team is psychologically fragile.

0-3-2, but also important to remember we haven't played a home game yet and that means not much practicing so it's hard to do any kind of a reset or get into much of a routine.
For fans, there's a deja vu element of losing a close game to Edmonton, and then losing games on a starting road trip that were very winnable, because that's how the year started last year and it got worse and worse, before getting better, but not quite good enough.

In the playoffs they say you're not in trouble until you lose at home, surely we can say that objectively of an 82 game season. But it's been really frustrating and demoralizing to watch them find ways to lose.

And if this isn't corrected over the next ten games, then our year is over before December again and I just can't go through that again (as if I would have any recourse, I'm a degenerate hockey fan).
