Oh yea, almost forgot. I can make a thread later today! Or if someone makes it before me I don't mind at all

Mario Kart 8 has been great on Switch.
8 on Switch is phenominal.. Mario Kart Wii was terrible.

If HF is now going to constantly pop up a page to disable my adblocker everytime the site is refreshed... This is my goodbye.
Since I spend way too much time on this site I finally bit the bullet and became a sponsor, but one of these methods might work for you.

Also, I don't know which ad blocker you use, but I really like uBlock origin.

I went to the South Park 25th anniversary concert last night as a birthday present from my sister. Boy that was a lot of fun. I had always wanted to see Primus live. Matt and Trey made me laugh my ass off. I'm not a big fan of Ween, but their lead guitarist Mickey Melchiondo joined Les Claypool when Primus was doing "Here comes the Bastards" and that sounded awesome.

Weird...the missus and I went out to eat at Carraba's and I'm wearing an Avs Stanley Cup Champs shirt.
This is Houston Texas, mind you. Deep in the heart of "nobody knows or cares about hockey" country.
The waiter comes up and says he hates my shirt. For a second I wondered if I had worn a non-Avs shirt because nobody than a few posters on here knows who the Avs are or what the Stanley Cup is.
After he said he hates my shirt, he says his a TBL fan!
I'm like " a hockey fan in Houston? Who knew?"
He congratulated me on the Avs season and I told him they had a couple cups already and "let's meet again next season for all of the marbles.
Yes, it is a lame story, but being a hockey's fan in Houston is rare. So meeting a hockey fan in this city and then finding out they're a TB fan and a little jealous of my team was bizarre.

So I tried and new strain tonight and it is absolutely excellent at squashing the nausea from the chemo, but it had my mind trying to come up with ways to battle salary cap circumnavigation. *LOL* Sad thing is, at the end of two hours all I had was, well, you know, the salary cap doesn't count in the playoffs, so here's the deal, once the season is over, any player who didn't make the playoffs can sign up to be a black ace for any team that made the playoffs. They just won't get paid shit, but will get a ring and their name on the cup as long as they play in the playoffs.

[edit..probably have to limit to only players who are becoming UFAs but still...p

The NHL refused to do anything about some pretty obvious examples of circumnavigating the cap rules so let's flip the switch and lean into it and make it easier for all teams to play. Holy shit the upsets would go through the roof and as a long-standing member of Team Chaos, I'd be all in for a couple of seasons of it to be honest.

The Te’o documentary is super interesting for those of us who followed college football at that time. Highly recommend.

It's time for a board-wide intervention.

After the success of my complaints a few months ago about the term "run it back" being used far too much, some other turns of phrase are really spoiling my forum experience.

Any reference to a player - Kadri or otherwise but almost always Kadri - seeking and/or receiving a large contract as "getting his bag." "Get paid" and "get that bread" are bad enough, the substitution of bag here is just awful. Leaving aside the optics of cheering someone who's been paid millions in salary every year of their working life being paid even more millions for more years of their working life and people celebrating this, the phrase itself just sounds... cheap. Low-rent. Associated somehow with criminality.

We can all be better than this. Hopefully now he's officially gone I don't need to see it as much.
