Totally agree. SNES was great! N64 just did not have enough games. When the system first came out they had maybe 3 or 4 games available. I remember it was something like Mario 64, Star Wars 64, and then Pilot Wings 64.

Yeah, but OoT made up for it in spades

I still use Zeldas lullaby as my mothers ring tone, and i am a grown ass man

Unlike the DS versions and Steam ports of every FF game prior to 7, all of which are ABOMINATIONS and an insult to the franchise. I still bought them all but every time I load them up I cringe and get angry.

Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite RPG games outside the FF series. What I loved about Chrono Trigger, you can re-start a new game after finishing it, and have all your characters leveled up from the previous game to start. Most RPGs don't do that.

SNES probably has the greatest collection of RPG as far as I'm concerned. FF's 2 and 3 (otherwise known as 4 and 6), ChronoTrigger, Lufia 1 + 2, Breath of Fire, Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia,Mario RPG etc. Just some really great games that relied on great story telling, as opposed to some of the newer games that hope fancy CSs and massive summons will appease the crowd.

One of my favourite strategy-rpg series of all time is the Shining Force series. They've carried on in different formats but Shining Force 1 and 2 on the Sega Genesis were tons of fun.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Destiny of an Emperor for Nintendo. This little gem was a blast. Over 200 potential party members and the sweet battle option called 'All-Out', which more or less sims the battles for you and saves a lot of time during all those trash mob random encounters.

Love Shining Force! Thanks for reminding me I have that SEGA pack on Steam. Going to look in to Destiny of an Emperor, I've never played that.

Edit: Agree about SNES by the way. Definitely my all-time favorite gaming system. I know people rave about PS1 and PS2, but SNES has to be right up there with best all-around collection of games. SNES was so good it got me to enjoy racing games which has never happened since and probably never will. Well, not entirely true Road Rash for Sega was fun, and I did play the **** out of Jet Moto for PS1.

Just a heads up for those who like FPS and played Quake series, been seeing closed beta invites for Quake Champions. Looks like Quake 3 Arena style gameplay. I'm pretty psyched.

Yes, definitely giving this a shot. Q3A is one of the best FPS titles.

Anyone here into semi-competitive Pokemon battling

Bored on the battle spot and looking to do some 6 v 6

I dunno what's going on or if it's always like this but I checked certain games on lukiegames and amazon and it's like a TON of games are in the 3-8 dollar range. I grabbed Battleborn for the Xbone, Darksiders 1 and 2, Madden 25 (just bc I haven't played one since 2005 and I had the itch) all for 4 dollars or less with shipping included in the cost.
My overall order also included Max payne 3, LA Noire, 2 Dragon Age games, Saints Row 4. Borderlands the pre sequel, DMC and a few others for a grand total of 83 bucks (Including shipping)

I'd price compare with amazon and ended up doing 4 of the games through amazon bc even with shipping it was still cheaper to go through amazon for those 4 games.

Anyway if there are a bunch of games you never got to play, now's a good time to shop.

After years of recovery and meetings, I finally cracked:

Zelda is great but you should try Mario Kart 8 deluxe. My son has the switch and loves this game. I prefer PS4 sports games, in particular MLB The Show 17

Just picked up the new Zelda, with was perfect timing, since I just finished FF XV.

Do you have a PlayStation or PlayStation 2? They have a package which has FF IV and Chrono Trigger packaged into one set. I was under the impression they were re-doing FF 7 guess I missed that. I know 12 is being re-released later this year.

Love the avatar btw!

They re-released old-school FF7 on the PS4 to get the hype train going for the remaster/remake thing.

They tacked on added cheats (fast forward for speedy grinding, limit breaks, invincibility) that I believe were from the old PC port... plus added trophies, if that's your thing.

Me and Gardner McKay play Diablo II online, if anyone wants to join: (Nyrhockey094), (Aufheben).
