god that sounds like such a waste lol might as well use her as a mule now.


I have yet to ever successfully complete a character(read: Barbarian). always leveled them poorly or ended up having to try and finish alone. and to be honest, I don't like playing video games alone, which is why I'm so glad I stumbled upon people who still play D2.

when do you guys usually play?

Anybody ever play Elite: Dangerous on PC or Xbone? I'm considering picking it up when it finally comes out on PS4 to try and erase no man's sky from my memory.

Worth it?

I traded for a token which allows you to respec. Annoying because I'm saving for Tal's armor. I'm generally on anytime after 5-6, and I stay up pretty late.

If you're having trouble with characters, I would find a somewhat recent barbarian build and follow it closely. The Immortal King WW (Whirlwind) barb is very fun, and by the time you are up to level 70-80, I will probably have the full set waiting for you from magic-finding.

The key is to pick a build and stick with it. You can also reset your stats later in the game and go with a different build. This site has a ton of great options: http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Builds


Here is a leveling guide for online:

• Level 1 - 15: Repeatedly clear Tristram.
• Level 15 - 24: Clear Tal Rasha's Tombs in the Canyon of the Magi.
• Level 24: Complete Rite of Passage.
• Level 25 - 40: Repeatedly clear the Chaos Sanctuary and Baal.
• Level 40: Complete Rite of Passage (nightmare difficulty).
• Level 41-60: Repeatedly clear the Chaos Sanctuary and Baal (nightmare difficulty).
• Level 60: Complete Rite of Passage (hell difficulty).
• Level 61-99: Repeatedly kill Baal (hell difficulty).

I have this one picked out. have for a while, just never managed to finish it. http://diablo.gamepedia.com/PvP_Whirlwind_Barbarian_by_Eskanasi

but thank you very much for the tip, and potential IK set. I try not to respec unless I really feel like I screwed up somewhere. honestly, I only started playing in 06 and everything is kinda fuzzy due to...ahem...outside interference.

I want some super rare stuff eventually. was thinking of Steelrend if I can find a pair.

booted the game up for the first time in a year. feels good, man. gotta Trist some and then find a group to kill Andy with. if you wanna rush me through act 3, feel free lol hate the damn jungle

Do you want to duel other players? Pick whatever gear you want, me and Gardner will find it or trade for it.

The important thing is to max the skills and attributes you will need. Don't spread out points. A generally rule of thumb (unless you are using an Amazon) is to only put enough points into Strength and Dexterity to wear your final gear, and everything else into Vitality.

yeah that's pretty much what I got out of that build guide. that was probably my main problem, not knowing how much to put where.

didn't know it was the same for everyone though

Well it depends on which character, and if you're using a shield. Some people say you should give a sorceress enough points into dexterity to reach Max Block with a shield, because she only gets 2 hit points for each point into vitality. Some people put all their points into Energy instead of Vitality for her because she has the energy shield skill. Mine (lvl85) has:

Str: ~145
Dex: none
Vit: ~350
Engy: none

Frozen Orb: 20
Cold Mastery: 7
Fireball: 20
Meteor: 20
Fire Mastery: 20

I'll save up some low-level melee gear if you're starting a new character.
