Really wish EA had some kind of competition on the NHL market to stop them from putting out the same garbage every year. Vesey and Buch don't exist and Fast is a sniper. They spend an entire year working on a new, more complicated interface with tweaks to the gameplay physics.

Holden not on Rangers either. Grabner is also the 3rd line center between Lindberg and Hayes.

Or Pirri. These are the little things that real fans, and people who play way too much NHL like myself notice. It would take a couple people maybe a day to go through the game and fix player positions and player types; but EA clearly puts more stock in incorporating Jose Bautista's bat flip as a goal celebration.

Vesey and Buch are there just not playable, they just need to play an actual shift first, NHLPA things. That's why looking at the roster Austin Mathews isn't on the Leafs.... not that I don't agree that EA has a long way to go
 
Do any of you guys who have NHL 17 know if the game lets you do unranked online team play games this year? My friends and I like to pick any and play 2 vs 2's against each other and make them public for randoms as needed. All the next-gen versions haven't allowed for it, and have forced you to play 6 person games and lock to a position.

Is that why they do it? I always thought it had to do with copyright issues between the NCAA and KHL

It looks pretty cool so far. You have a lot more control of varying factors that go into having a franchise like arena maintenance, ticket prices, relocation, etc. I'm waiting for the more updated rosters before I get mine going. They fixed the EASHL which I like.

Didn't really think of that, just frustrating cause I wanna start a be a gm right away. I'm probably better off creating them myself since they usually turn out better.
 
I know this is an old thread but i figured its worth a shot.
Does anyone on here play NHL17 on xbox one and have an EASHL team? I've always wanted to try it out but don't know any friends that play. The drop in games are ridiculous with everyone just running around like idiots. Thanks for any help, LGR! :yo:

Where is Halverson in Franchise Mode?? Every year I do a Canucks and Rangers Be A GM (now Franchise) so that's why I'm wondering. I've got both teams going now and in both cases there is no 5th goalie option (Halverson for the Rangers, Garteig for the Canucks).
 
Just got NHL 17 and I wanted to share my Bernmeistering

-Dan Girardi: bought the **** out

And picked up by Columbus because ****ing of course he was :laugh:

-Kevin Klein and JT Miller to Anaheim for Josh Manson

My dream come true. Corsi for everyone!

-Rick Nash to Nashville (hardy har har) for Viktor Adrivsson, Matt Irwin, Vladislav Kamenev, and Max Reinhart

Love Nash but desperately needed cap. Didn't do this for the pun, I had my reasons. I like Hayes but his shot generation is ****. So I go and get Viktor Arvidsson who is the best shot generator in the league. He will play with Hayes. Pirri will play on their wing to finish off Arvidsson's corsi and Hayes' gretzkying. I nabbed Kamenev also who is a strong prospect because I wasn't dealing Nash for ****. There's question marks on D still and Irwin is reliable and can step in all over the lineup if somebody goes to ****.

-Flipped Reinhart to Ottawa for Chris Neil

I prefer to have muscle that can actually play. It's my life, don't tell me how to live it.

Irwin, Puemps, and Lindberg are the extras. Kamenev will get a shot if a top sixer goes down.

I didn't trade Lundqvist :clap: (but he better watch his ass ;))

Nash and Girardi means two A's gone. An A will go to Zuccarello.

Yes Fast is a center now. It's my life, don't tell me how to live it.

With Nash gone we need a new penalty killer - Chris ****ing Kreider. It's my life, don't....actually **** that, this is a great idea. The Rangers should try it IRL. Dead serious.
