The only trade I can see happening would be our 1st(post lottery) assuming there's someone the Ducks have their eye on in the draft.

Hughes has said he'd make trades that "accelerate the rebuild", and trading our pick for Zegras would do exactly that. We'd be adding a young player with 60+ point upside, as oppose to a prospect that'll likely be 2+ years away from making an impact at the NHL level.

MB would probably have taken Zadina. So far it looks like HuGo are pretty good at player evaluation so there is every chance if they were drafting they would have taken Hughes.

Their 2nd choice was likely Dobson, since the top brass all the way down to regional scout were shadowing him during the entire Q playoffs. And you don't deploy that kind of delegation to watch a guy you're not seriously considering.

WPG 1st, Barron, Newhook.

Expensive, but that might be what it takes.

Not sure that’s the best use of assets tho.

Exactly, people are dreaming, Zegras was the better player until this year with b2b 60+ points season, he's producing like Suzuki was last 2 seasons while been younger with the same shitty supporting cast.

Zegras cost is going to be high and rightfully so.....

Of course our 1st round pick could be of interest for them if they can land Demidov with their own pick and set their eyes on a top pairing RD wth our pick like Levshunov.

Without MTL 2024 1st or Guhle or Reinbacher, Anaheim won’t be interested. Ask yourself what would you want for Caufield
