Lotsa mad baldy's in here
Not mad. Not bald. But very disappointed that so many find this thread amusing or funny. Now let’s talk about the different shades of black people and why they don’t try to lighten their skin to look more “normal.”

It’s a slippery slope, and this thread, and many posters are unfortunately happily on it. Just observing that our little community, just like world has some distance yet to travel. Fat jokes were funny yesterday too.

I appreciate what you're saying. But there are double standards everywhere it's exhausting to point them all out let along trying to combat them.

First off, the vast majority of this thread is not making fun of bald people for being bald (yes, I get it some are - but most aren't). Its poking fun at some of the style choices that get made in that situation. Pointing out that some folks style their hair in a manner that is not flattering is not remotely the same as mocking people for their skin tone. I mean is is bad to make fun of their fashion choices also? Or is that the same "slippery slope"

I like your try, but no, the evolution prefers things that helps you survive. Hair protects from strong sun etc. We have gair on the head for a reason.

If many would go bold, it would be a norm, and those witout would be looked at as beutiful Lves from fairytales.
Nope it's an age thing. Some people get to look older faster in different ways and some dont. You dont see bald kids . Unfortunatley society, more than ever, look down on older people or people that look like they've had a tough/rough life .. As this thread is an perfect example of

Making fun of people for something they can't change is the problem. You can diet, most people can't get their hair back. If anyone makes fun of another for their skin colour then their brain doesn't work properly.

Did you just compare hair loss to skin colour…..

I've never liked so many posts in a single thread. Odd personalities and haircuts are a mainstay of hockey culture. As much as Phil makes me laugh I think he's an absolute legend. Are you trying to make me feel bad for laughing at Phil Kessel now?

Lots of men go bald, it's what we do. If we can't laugh at "ourselves", especially the millionaire athlete versions of ourselves, then what can we chuckle at?

Typical approach to bring up race at every opportunity, I refuse to address that. So in your book on what's funny doesn't it say "punching up" is ok? "speaking truth to power" and all that...

They're not being made fun of for their hair loss, they're being made fun of for their hair cuts. Guys who just shave it off are getting a complete pass in this thread.

The difference between these pictures is very much under Messier's control:

Is this partly in Swedish?

I dont know, we can speak like that put of words, and get a functioal sentence.

If you could chose, ifC you would like to have hair. And its understandable for those who lose it. They lose a part that give them an extra dimension of yourself. A bald is looking like everyone else.

As someone who is slowly losing it I find this thread rather disturbing

But what really annoyes me is the fact that it is 2022 and we still don't know how to "cure" it. Or rather, they don't really want to because the millions and billions of shitty "buy this and you will get your hair back 100%" products simply generate too much money, so it's business. f***ing shame.

As for the skin comparison I get what the poster is saying. No matter how you want to hide it, these people are going through some difficult time in their lives, before they finally accept this. The fact that you never really be able to control it can make it pretty tough mentally, so yeah, a little respect never hurts.

Surprised by the lack of Mats Sundin though.

If you want to change your look get a tattoo or a hat , grow a beard , use botox on your ass. The problem with hairloss is that its much more difficult and expensive to "fix" than any of the other stuff mentioned. Laughing at a guy for beeing bald is like laughing at a women for not having boobs. It make booth of them more plain looking and the "condition" could be cureable by some surgery and inplants yet nothing is 100% sure. So live with it and love it

People are callous and in general D-bags.

No cure yet but not for lack of trying. A cure will be worth 100's of billions of $$$$$. For men losing your hair at least explore your options instead of doing nothing. For many the common drugs do work, or if you can swing it get hair transplants. There are procedures out there that use purpose made tools and even robots the result is perfectly natural. You likely see people all the time that have undergone surgery and you don't know it.

Everything is funny when it's not happening to you.

There is sort of a cure. Finasteride/Dutasteride better known as Propecia blocks the conversion of testosterone into DHT which causes MPB. It's not 100% effective but if you're just trying to keep what you have left while you're in your 20-30's it seems to work well for most people (I'm not a doctor but work in the medical profession).

I've been taking it since I was 23 and I'm now 31. Still a NW2.

Anyone that is curious can DM me. Never had anything past minor side effects that didn't last.

The key is to jump on it early.

I dunno, I could certainly be wrong but just looks like his hair is styled differently and/or cut at different lengths to me

Mangiapane. I'm sorry buddy, it's over.
Here he is normally.

And here he is wearing his toupee

The right hair transplant plus the meat and potato hair loss stack (finasteride, monoxidil and ketoconazole shampoo) and microneedling and he would be back. Guys have come back from far worse than this.

That said, nevermind the transplant, not everyone has the will or discipline to be on such a regiment... Not to mention if he's part of the small percentage of people that experiences side effects from the drugs.

Wow, how are you going to compare skin color to this? Compare this to being short and wearing shoe lifts for example
