No doubt. There's something they like far more in Cossa. I was hoping Yzerman might give us some insight on that mini interview there but it was just normal fluff about getting a good goalie.
Yzerman saying absolutely nothing on ESPN brings a tear to my eye

Imagine having Holland as a GM. Trading for 38 year of Duncan Keith at 5.3 million a seasons for 2 more years, losing Larsson in the expansion draft, resigning 39 year old Mike Smith for 2 year in goal and then trading down when Wallstedt is sitting right there.

Complete utter garbage, soooo glad he is gone from Detroit.

just glancing at McKenzie's list this draft feels surprisingly as expected so far for such a chaotic year other than that Ottawa pick

21 picks in so far and it's been the top 20 on that list plus the 29th(the Ottawa pick)

Wow Wallstedt LIVES in Lidstrom's street and we still didn't get him. Hopefully Edvinsson +Cossa is better than Eklund + Wallstedt in 5 years.

I wonder what Nedeljkovic thinks about the pick.

I can't imagine he feels too threatened by it. Goalies take a while to develop, right? We have him for 2 years, he proves to be a high quality, kick ass starter - gives Cossa two years to continue to develop and maybe a year or so behind him as a back on a follow up deal. If we are fortunate to end up with a Caps like situation where they had a series of high quality goalies and rolling them out or trading them based upon salary and need
