Hard to say.

But size is an undeniable advantage, all things equal, when it comes to stopping pucks. It feels like Yzerman is scouting his own Ben Bishop or Pekka Rinne to groom.

It would have been cooler if he picked his own Henrik Lundqvist or Andrei Vasilevski instead of a Ben Bishop. Like a lot cooler.

Blows my mind how so many fans can feel so strongly about the most under scouted draft in history. Pro scouts have no clue how to feel about a lot of these players, but some of you have your minds made up after watching a 3 minute YouTube video. What’s the point of a GM/scouting department if we can just run a HF poll to decide each pick?

Having an investment in the prospects is a lot more fun and emotionally satisfying than just slobbering on the team's knob for every move they make.

Yzerman has been hitting it out of the park so far this off-season, but he's really reaching on these picks.

I have a handful of guys I hope for, and believe in, but let's be real I have no god damn clue how it will shake out years from now. I don't know these kids or get to talk to them or even see them in person. It's all for fun.

There was another thread where we picked our preferred first round combinations. I just bumped it to see if anyone picked a Wallstedt/Lambos combo.

Lots of Cossa fans in there. It hurts my eyes.
