I think he deserves it, but considering how much Kreider can get into his own head maybe its not a good idea. Giving it to someone like Zibanejad who seems a bit more robotic might be smarter

I really think we could move Staal ( assuming he waives ) and Smith. $11M saved. Lets say we buy them both out, Staal will save $2.2 and Smith $1.7
