I really am not a fan of Jost.

Send them Kreider and Georgiev (or Lundqvist if they prefer) for Byram and call it a day on that one. Gives them the top rental winger they want and more certainty as far as their goaltending issue. We get their stud defenseman after Makar. They probably wouldn't like that but just a thought-- but if no tell them then 'okay, I think St. Louis is giving us a better deal anyway'---let them stew over the idea that St. Louis gets a boost on repeating for a couple/three hours.

This team really reminds me of the 2006 Rangers . Where we're going for a rebuild, but Jagr and Lundqivst dragged us out. Now its just Igor and Panarin. Only difference here is that we actually have some prospects. I think it goes without saying what Kreider brings to this team. He likely gets the C if he were signed longer. I hate to see him go, but I hate to see who we have to sacrifice in the years to come to accommodate that contract. I think Fox will become an 8m player. Zibs will need to be resigned for 10m. Kakko could become a 10m player. I wouldnt trade a 7th round pick for Derek Stepan right now. As much as I loved Callahan, I was dancing the day they announced his trade because it was addition by subtraction due to his eventual contract. I think Kreider will play far better than Callahan and Stepan into his later years. But there is no doubt in my mind that someone important will eventually be sacrificed for a 7m 3rd line LWer. Today alone we are talking about getting rid of ADA to keep Kreider. What other young talented players are going to have to give the boot 6-7 years down the road? I believe cap management and good drafting is what leads to championships now. And while I think Kreider will have a much better post 30 career than guys like Stepan and Callahan, its still a big risk.

This current squad has many more elements than the 2005-6. Zibanejad, DeAngelo and Fox are evidence of that.

So far, I would lean towards Dallas and St. Lois over the Avs as trading partners, based on what I have heard.

Just about every source has confirmed what Gorton is looking for in a deal for Kreider - a good young player, a 1st this year and another prospect, with a conditional pick added. So, let’s keep the speculation to these parameters. This leaves a team like Boston at a severe disadvantage. The fact that Dallas, St. Louis and Colorado are all involved just strengthens Gorton’s hand.

why are we giving up on Rykov? The Kings like him? Are we getting a decent guy back like a Gauthier or just someone to help the pack down the stretch?
I don't at all have it out for the kid, but my connects in Hartford have been saying he's been flat out awful since coming back from his ankle surgery. That's not the problem; apparently he is totally clueless in his own end.

May be better to move on and get something for him before the rest of the league catches on.

Based on what we have been reading, you would be upset if Kreider was traded. It's not a shot at you, it's your opinion.

yes of course I want him to be signed. I don’t want him to play out the year and leave for nothing. If you can’t sign him you trade him.

Obviously

Please try to keep this a thread with posts related to this ongoing event. Too much off topic, non essential babbling makes following relevant information difficult for everyone.

If you have the HULU bundle - it includes ESPN+ which is streaming TradeCentre on TSN.
Thank you. Here in NYC I was watching TSN on someone’s youtube channel who was restreaming it .
The sound was very distorted.
