I am really hesitant to trade Fast if we are not getting a decent return. I understand Kreider because he is likely to return something that will help finish our rebuild. I know I am probably in fantasy land but if we only lose Kreider maybe this team can still put up a fight for that last playoff spot.

Just don't see how Kreider is not at 100%.

Gorton seriously can't be going down to the wire and risk getting burned if he cant move him. There had to be a hard deadline with Kreider.

Might not go down to the wire, but I expect one last circle back when they have one offer they can pull the trigger on.

Basically a "last call" scenario, complete with a line that "We have a deal and they need an answer. But we're giving you the chance to give us your answer first."

You get the feeling that these teams think the asking price for Kreider is just too steep

You also get the feeling that if he gets traded, people are going to riot at the return

So the Senators probably moved down about 20 picks in next years 4th round in exchange for the rights to have Namestnikov play for them for 50 games. Makes sense. Just like McQuaid.

I wouldn't snicker at Names in Colorado. He'll be a good support player in that type of stacked environment.

Really Dorion...Only a 4th in 2021 for Names? I know Names sucks but why give him away for free basically to Sakic?

The Rangers would take a two piece deal over a three piece deal if they can get guys they really want.

Dallas is very much in play. Expect a push for Robertson on the Rangers end.

St. Louis is in play.

Colorado very much in play.

Don't rule out Nashville as a dark horse trade partner.
Live in Nashville. They need a serious boost. Not sure on the leadership issue as well. Goalies and they’re centers have under performed. They could use a Kreider for sure. Not sure if they part with the goods.
