You get the feeling that these teams think the asking price for Kreider is just too steep

You also get the feeling that if he gets traded, people are going to riot at the return

Of maybe the offers are in and Gorton is just waiting to hear from Kreider on their final offer.

I don’t get the sense of anything other than the deal will happen once Kreider has made his decision:

There is a difference between being a cheapskate and just flat out mailing it in. Sakic never did the latter as a player. Even if he is out on Kreider I would be shocked if this is his only move for today.
