Scotiabank arena will be at about 50% capacity for Leafs preseason games, I assume if the jays make the playoffs and have games in Toronto, that will be bumpoed up also
It's also outdoors so I think attendance will increase to 25,000.

I am pissed at the crap lineup we had in for yesterdays game... The kk incident means nothing to me.

It should have been Dickerson instead of Dyson. Other than that the starting lineup was ok. They just should have used their bench players once Patino was out.

So im guessing 95% chance atleast borucki gets suspended possibly walker too

The picking up and not returning the card is no different then stealing signs from second.

Its the integrity of the sport so yes the minute kk pocketed it and didnt return it . Thats on him and he's lucky it was borucki not nate or merryweather that plunked him

The issue isn't that Keirmaier picked up the card or found out information. It's that when asked for it back, he refused.

Imagine if your wallet falls out of your pocket in public and you catch someone else pocketing it.

The first half of his story was fine, but when he decided that the information was valuable and he should steal it, that's when he crossed a major line.

Seriously, if a player on the Patriots had stolen a QB's playcalling card during an NFL game, do you think that anybody would be laughing it off? Deliberately stealing your opponents gameplan is cheating. It doesn't matter if a mistake made it easy to steal. It's still cheating.

I suppose my issue with the whole thing is why must every player be put in this position for something like this to happen in the first place? Catchers have it on their wrists...pitchers in their hats...fielders in their back pockets.

The catchers and pitchers used to know each opponent's tendencies and/or would look to the dugout for such info, in the same way the coaches from the dugout used to dictate how and where defenders should positionally shift for each batter.

A situation like this happens and I'd say the blame should be on Kirk just as much as it should be on Kiermaier, whom I still don't really fault for doing what he did.

I'm sure he'd love to stay, not sure we're going to give him the contract he'll demand.

He's going to ask for exactly the same thing Springer got, maybe one year more because he has been healthy this season. We still have plenty of infield prospects.

The guy is great, on and off the field, but that's just too rich for a 30+ year old player on turf. I'd rather put that money into pitching, or at least one of the 20 something SS/3B on the market next season.

Nothing wrong with what either team did. I’d pick up the card and take it and I’d plunk the guy if he did it to me.
I agree, at one time this was what was expected to happen and to hit the batter was needed to resolve the problem and after the season was over they'd have a beer together.

If he takes the Springer deal, we do that in a heartbeat. Guy is having a top 5 mvp candidate season while being a leader for us.

You never bet the house on an unknown. If we sign him, then maybe we offer Groshans in a Ramirez deal).

If you stole George Brett's bat, he would beat the ever loving tar out of you.

There has never been a point in baseball's history when stealing from opponents has been okay.

Where this becomes problematic is that mlb has a track record of not punishing cheaters at all, but coming down hard on those upset by it.

He didn’t even steal it: the “pass ball” behind the plate dropped it like he does everything else.

Pretty sure keeping something that isn't yours even after the owner asks for it back is commonly known as stealing.

Also, insulting a 22 year-old who is still learning to catch is pathetic.

Edit: also, the term is passed ball, not pass ball
