You keep tacking on losses everytime we win so you can keep trotting out that 91-71 prediction you seem so obsessed with. Be a little more optimistic. We've been a .700 team for over a month. Why would we suddenly drop to almost .500 in the last two weeks, especially considering we have 7 games left with the two worst teams in the AL. We have a way better chance at going 8-3 or even 9-2 than we do 6-5.

I don’t think the 6-5 is a prediction of what the Jays will do, but rather the minimum the Jays need to do to reach the 91 win mark that the poster feels will put them in the playoffs.

If there's one major weakness this team has it is Bichette and his major league leading 24 errors. If Springer, Espinal, and Biggio can get healthy by October I would like to see them put Semien at short, Espinal/Biggio at 2nd, and the other at 3rd with Bo DHing. The only negative to this is you lose Kirk's bat for the games he doesn't catch but this lineup is so good it would make sense trading some offense for better defense

First time I'm hearing about this Kiermaier thing. Why is this such a big deal to everyone? I got no issues here. And yes, I've read all these comments who are upset about this.

Isn’t it kinda interesting that we’re in a playoff spot while our D up the middle hasn’t been great (notably SS and CF)? Almost opposite of 2015 and 2016 Jays who were great up the middle (C, 2B, SS, and CF).

Someone suggested this recently and it's all kinds of crazy. Even if you don't think Bo should be a full-time SS (and I would completely disagree with that) he's very clearly a guy who can provide plenty of defensive value somewhere else. Having him DH is a waste.

How is a cheat sheet cheating? There are no rules in baseball against such a thing (otherwise, the official lineup card would also cross this line).

Just because you were raised in a specific system doesn't make that system good.
It's cheating because of its name cheat sheet. Players are just like students and through experience and studying they learn how to different players. It takes skill and knowledge to remember all the players and if they look at cards It's the same as a student look at a cheat sheet. It's cheating no matter how you slice it.

Students also can't have a friend standing at the front of the class relaying information to them with hand signals, but that's allowed in baseball.

But more importantly... why are you comparing professional athletes to students? How many professions are there where you can't look up information if you don't know/remember it?
It's very difficult to pass on signs to hitters and if you can do it then you're skilled and deserve to get that information, but reading off a card takes no skill. Most jobs you can look up information, BUT you're not competing against someone or stealing another company's information to better yourself and if you are then you're unethical and wrong.

You keep Bo at SS until you lock him up on a long term deal then you move him around. Unless you get a top tier SS to supplant him in FA or trade it’ll be a disrespect to take Bichette off his natural position for f***ing Espinal

Stealing an opponent's gameplan notes is straight-up cheating.
You're literally acting like they (the managers and players) wouldn't have almost the same notes based on the fact that the game is heavily scouted and uses statistics. It wouldn't surprise me if the Rays knew half the stuff or almost all of it about their own players. You're upset over nothing. I don't think that was cheating at all and that's coming from someone who despises the sign stealing stuff (using video cameras etc to do it, not in game at 2nds base), using PEDS, using a substance while on the mound, and so forth. I promote integrity but I think you're making what he did into a much bigger deal than it should be.

Having a sheet like that isn't cheating, my gosh man. So everyone is supposed to remember every player and their tendencies in the MLB and AAA? That's well over a thousand players....

That's the whole point, it takes skill and knowledge to remember all those players and that makes sure that the most skillful team wins.

Having a memory to remember well over 1000 players isn't a thing. No player can do that. This also isn't a test...using a sheet to help in baseball or any other sport is fine.

I think you're just falling behind in the times with sports.

There's a difference between knowing your own players' weaknesses and knowing your opponent's plan to exploit those weaknesses.

I thought that you were exaggerating, of course you can't, but players in your division and only the key players are the ones needed so that's only 20 to 25 players and that should be possible for skilled baseball players.
