Hoping there ends up being a three team tie between the Sox, Mariners and Jays.

No special reason. It would just be cool, heh.

Keith Law made his picks for awards this season.
:

You mean that guy this forum spent years bashing over Biggio? Where are all of those bashers now, eh?

I mean....he is still wrong about Biggio lol Law's actual issue is being an insufferable prick. Everybody ends up being wrong about a player. He does it with a certain douchey flair though. Probably just his shitty personality.

He's an idiot. Ray behind Cole and Evoldi? The guy hasnt got a clue.

I think he has the MVP right, Vladdy hasnt produced as he should have these last couple of weeks. But interesting when players like Donaldson and Judge are asked who the MVP should be they both say Vladdy.

As for Manoah he has that all wrong, he should be in the top 3 hands down for Rookie of the Year.

Imagine winning 100+ games, having the second best record in all of baseball and having to play a 1 game wildcard.

Dodgers must be pretty upset right about now.

Dumb rule imo. It’s not a playoff series it’s a one off. It makes no sense to me.

I have two friend who know Keith Law. One used to play in a head-to-head fantasy baseball league with him. And the other is a board game designer and Jays fan who knows Keith through the board game world (Law is a board game fan and writes about board games).

In any event, both have said that he’s a nice guy and laughed at the idea that idea that Law held some kind of grudge against the Jays. The guy who played fantasy baseball with him did admit that Law van sometimes be stubborn about his player evaluations.

I still don’t quite understand why anyone cares what Law or any of these other evaluators write. To me, it feels like “Oh no! A player evaluator didn’t like a Jay. Now, some fan of another team might think that Jay is not as good as I think he is. And it’s overly important to me that fans of other teams think the Jays are great.” But I could be wrong.

Vlad 2nd in AL MVP behind Ohtani. Semien 3rd.

Manoah didn't make it into his top 3 for AL ROY

And the kicker: He had Ray 3rd in the AL Cy Young behind Cole and Nathan Eovaldi.
LMAO Cole pretty much took himself out of contention after last night. Ray has it on lockdown barring a complete disaster tonight.

I think you are selling Eovaldi short.

Either way, Ray's start tonight could be very important in the decision making. I had Cole above Ray up until last night.

Eovaldi has zero chance to win a CY Young. It's so bad that you can't even bet on him to win CY young anymore - the only guys you can still put money on are Ray, Cole, Lynn, Rondon and Ohtani.

Ray is -600 right now. Cole +400.

Law is still an idiot.

What was he right about? Biggio's been dealing with injuries all year. I'm not even a big fan of the kid but it's clear he's not a "non-roster" player.

The people voting don’t watch every game, but if Ray is on and Ks 10 with 6 strong inning tonight he will win.

If Ray and Cole are anywhere even in the same ballpark, the fact that Cole openly admitted to cheating for the first 2 months of the season should weigh heavily against him.

After last night, they aren't in the same ballpark.

You mustn't be old enough to remember that the Bluejays were the 2nd best team in all of baseball in 1987 and didn't make the playoffs at least the Dodgers have a chance with the wildcard.

The Jays didn't deserve to make the playoffs in 1987. They completely callapsed in the final days.

If they manage to make the playoffs this season I really like their chances. In terms of hitting and pitching the team is right up there with the 3 division winners. Seattle are the luckiest team in the AL this season: 11th in runs, 10th in runs allowed. Seattle should be 10 games under .500.

The voters don’t know about any of that.

I don't recall suggesting he was right. I just think it's funny how quick y'all were to jump on his case for every little thing, but suddenly Biggio is a ghost and everyone gets all quiet about that, heh.

I don’t follow. Are we supposed to talk about how he wasn’t right every day? It’s been well established that Law was wrong about Biggio. That horse has already been beaten to death.
