Projecting the Top 2022 MLB Free Agents

Id gladly take those contracts for Ray and Semien. I think both get more. Give me Gausman (insurance for Ryu and Berrios) and Schwarber as well. Gausman should get more.

Those Escobar and Seager contracts are ridiculous. Castellanos is beyond ridiculous.

If we dont make the playoffs there will definitely be lots of dissapointment and that's fine but take into context that since the start of the covid season this has all happened.

- Guerrero Jr has turned into a MVP caliber player
- Aquired Ray and had himself an CY young caliber season
- Signed George Springer
- Signed Semien and had himself a MVP type season
- Bo has shown to be an elite hitter
- Teoscar has shown to be an elite hitter
- Aquired Jose Berrios
- Manoah had a season that put him into ROY conversation
- Romano has turned into a very reliable closer

This has all happened in the past 220 games for a team that was just finishing off a rebuild.

Sure the potential resigning of Ray and Semien will be big moves but if you'd have told anyone at the start of 2020 that we'd have this offence but moreso alongside this quality of a pitching staff, not many people would have believed it.

This division is crazy and it will take alot to win while playing in it but this team has gone from terrible to having one of the most stacked situations in less than 2 years.

It’s crazy how much Shatkins slander there was during 2016-2019. People were so angry at them for trading away or not resigning all the players from the 2015/16 team even though they explicitly said a rebuild was coming and to anyone with a functioning pair of eyes, you could see as clear as day that the team was beyond washed up by 2017.

Now they have a young and versatile team that IMO has the potential to be way better than the 2015 and 16 teams could’ve ever been in just 3-4 years

Correa is absolutely in that tier. He's had some injuries but has been healthy this year and is 3rd in MLB in WAR for position players.

Seager started his career in that tier but was set back by his elbow injury. 2020/21 he's been at about 6 WAR/162 GP ... he's going to get paid.

Story and Baez I agree aren't in that tier.

If we can’t get back Semien, I’d be totally okay with chucking money at Correa, cheating aside hes an absolute monster of a player and he’s still so young. Baez and Story I probably wouldn’t sign for too long term especially Baez given how wild his game can become at times

I could see Baez or Story getting a pillow contract to increase value like Semien did in our lineup.

It's still there in the main thread listings, it just tends to slide down the page on a day off.

For me it's showing up at like 8th or 9th from the bottom of page 1. That may vary depending on user settings.

its almost like they are using projections from 2 years ago for this.

cant see anyone giving thor more then 1 year . guy hasnt really pitched in 16 months.
