might be too late
Yeah, he will have to produce significantly (ppg) and play really well. Has nothing to do on the bottom line, but maybe as the 13th forward and get some shifts on the man advantage and stir things up if pp is not clicking. Kind of feels like he will be competing with Erik Påhlsson for a roster spot.

LEO comes. Öhgren starts to play. Suzdalev shits in points.

Bystedt - Carlsson - Wahlberg
Öhgren - Östlund - Lekkerimäki
Suzdalev - Edstrom - Stenberg
Born - Wagner - Sörum
Pettersson

Bystedt and Sandin Pellikka were dominant from what I saw. Lekkerimäki and Östlund were also very good. Expected more offense from Stenberg and Unger Sörum, they were just ok.

E. Pettersson hit his head to the boards against Slovakia, didn’t play after that. Very likely a concussion.

Swedish fans can forget about that, he's too good.

Seems so. Now he get his next contract one year earlier! (10 games) LOT'S of money!

Wonder if his teammates played for him in the hattrick game...

Willander really needed to play at the 5 nations in August to boost his chances.

Yeah, ASP, Hävelid and Salomonsson are absolute locks as RHDs. Then Odelius, Norén and Pettersson all played last year.

Willander wouldn’t significantly improve this defense imo. I think they go the ”safe” route, I would like to see him at camp though.

Norén is not good enough imo, wilander is miles better than him

7 pts in 11 games to start his NCAA career. Leads BU at +10

Granted how awesome he was at the U18 Worlds and the clips I have seen from his NCAA rookie season (mind you, I have not seen him play full games), Willander sure looks to be good enough to make this team. Hope he gets a good look at camp.

If Odelius injury is bad and he Will miss the tourney, maybe Sahlin Wallenius Will get a closer look. I think We go for 4 LHD and 3 RDH.

Pettersson - Hävelid
Lindstein - Sandin Pellikka
Sahlin Wallenius - Salomonsson
Norén

If 4 RHD instead, either Johansson or Willander takes Sahlin Wallenius or Noréns spot.

I dont think he wont be selected as the defence alternatives are decent enough but its fun to imagine

Who is the odd man out on defense? I get a feeling Willander wont be selected.

Liam Öhgren comeback tomorrow!
With the way Anton Johansson is playing, I can’t see Willander making it, and people also shouldn’t be surprised by how much Johansson will play. He’s a big kid, who’s looked good in the SHL and he’s looked good in U20 games too.

He’s showing why he was drafted as high as he was, and the way he’s developing, he may have been a steal in the 2nd round.

Wasn't Johansson a 4th round pick though?
