I like how the ducks management are handling him and his development, and I remain faithful that they potentially could see the value in him playing such a tournament, where he’ll come in and be the star of the show.

Cronin has been big on two things: load management and Carlsson being a workhorse in the 2nd half of the season. So I don't see him becoming available.

I do wonder what on earth the Caps are thinking with Suzdalev. Supposedly he's been hard working at practices with the Bears but never gets into the lineup. I guess the teams in the Metro really just suck at development.

I think he has a pretty good chance. He was selected for the summer tournament and the upcoming tournament next week.

Linus Hemstrom (OHL) has been doing great this year. Solid 2 way winger averaging a point a game. Played for Sweden this summer. I believe he will get another look. Wont be a top 2 line player prob bottom 4

I'm not so sure about that. Sandin-Pellikka made it as a 2 year underager last year and it's not that uncommon over the years. I'm talking about WJC in 14 months, not 2 months. And Frondell will likely see some games with the senior team next season if his progress continues.

I'm thinking (not saying I'm right) Leo gets his nine games (two more games), acclimatize to living, sun, team, practice facilities, training (in La-La-Land and OC) and gets to play JWC rested and in good shape, returns to Örebro and later on WC (Prague!) feeling comfortable everywhere. World citizen! Ducks have some real competitive advantages the coming years in (already) having McTavish and Leo on ELC's this season and the next and in Leo's case in the better half of 2027 (AFTER the Wild win their Cup in 2026) as well. Imagine how good Leo might be then on his ELC!

Or else trade for Rutta or someone, burn a cheap Leo year in the future, get Drysdale and McGinn back from injury, promote the occasional farm success, skip trading Silver, Henry and Ljubo and really GO for it against the Vegans and the Bears. Naeäh? But who knows. Maybe the Ducks are ready to fly now! Or maybe the "Born To Lose" tattoes should be washed off as soon as possible?

As for the discussion about 07-borns in next season's WJC squad.. I would personally not be surprised if there will be 1-3. Everything depends on how they progress obviously, but I expect guys like Anton Frondell and Filip Ekberg to be more or less full-time HockeyAllsvenska regulars. Oliwer Sjöström feels like a player that will transition easily to men's hockey too.

Would not surprise me if a 07-goalie gets selected as the third goalie too.

Among the 06 possible players in next year Wjc team, maybe only Pettersson and Sahlin Wallenius is clear options.

And in 2 years, when the 06 plays, it can be likely that majority of the forwards are 07 and maybe one 08.

Our best chance to win gold is this year, next year we also will have a good chance but not as good this year.
