Lehner could lose both arms and it wouldn’t make any difference in most games. That’s how much backup goalies are worth.

Lars Johansson is a monster of a goalie. No doubt he would be a good NHLer. I would not be angry if he gets selected.

Thats it. He is the only euro player i would be ok with on the roster. If i heard Loob right he was saying Tömmernäs could be a man for Olympics. Thats f***ing crazy. WC? Yes. OG? No way. We have like 15 d in NHL that is better.

Disagree. If you look beyond the lack of individual standouts, our top 12 forwards currently outscore both Russia's and Finland's top 12 forwards. On top of that our D is excellent and Markström is an elite goalie.

I doubt anyone can stand against Canada this time, but we can certainly compete for a medal.

He's got speed, hands, vision and high IQ. His shot has also gotten a ton better.

Ovechkin is never that good in russian NT. We have better D than russia.

Finland best on best team is not that gritty. They have mostly skilled guys that are not physical players.

And maybe im wrong but it felt like Garpenlöv actually where coaching good in Karjala Cup, maybe he finally learned his lesson.

I would say we are on a similar level to Russia, with a bit less gamebreaking skill but with more offensive depth, better centers and way better defensemen. We are definately better than Finland on paper. Garpenlöv might bring us down though of course. Anything less than a medal is a disappointment with the roster we have though. I really don't understand the widespread negativity.

Team Sisu makes much less. Only 118 million (see below). That is before reduction from speeding tickets. Finns in the NHL score 70 goals.

If no NHLers will go to OG, then i dont see why AHLers will go. It will only be players from Europe. With the current Corona problem in NHL i would not be suprised if they decide to not let players go to OG.

Thought good news for us is that Omark and Erik Gustafsson wants to play for the NT again if it comes to that.

Thanks for the swedish team. Have no real overview of that. However, we have some players returning from NHL that are quite good. And we beat Finland with half a first team. Junior players can go to the U20 championships if they don't take place in the NHL in the near future. NHL teams might even ike to let their future star players get som olympic experience. And Edvinsson is good. But not olympics good (yet). Omark faces steep scoring competition this season.
