WC: Team Sweden 2019 roster

Absolutely, I really like him but he's barely an NHL player at this point.

He has to be better than Mario Kempe. I think he’ll be a fine shutdown option and he’ll bring a ton of experience so this selection I am fine with, but they don’t really have that much more room for depth guys now.

I don't think he's better than Kempe. He'll bring experience to this team but nothing else.
 
I'd say Loui Eriksson is friend with the puck. Fibblar inte med den. Like our defenders do. Won't miss many opportunities and won't look out of place. Will stay out of tackle or soften or damping it. Will look cool during warm-up. I mean, come on. Buddy! It's 6 million!! He is better than Sam Gagner. Loui and Elias will point to each other with the stick or the gloves when they score on the PP against the countries where Kalashnikov-Skiing is big. Low intensity PK with Kruger and some backchecking. 10 games, one goal and four assists. If we are lucky JOEL LUNDQVIST will join too! Vi kan kalla hela Göteborg till tjänstgöring (Gothenburgh works). Typ brorsan and Olofsson.

If loui eriksson had any self awareness he should decline an invite. He is so bad that he is heavily disliked by canucks fans.

The reason Eriksson is disliked by Nucks fans is his big ass contract.

Loui has some of the best individual PK stats in the NHL so to say he's barely an NHLer and bad is only true in the sense of his days as a top 6/9 forward.

Sounds legit. I still like him better than the Everbergs, Larssons, Paajarvis and de la Roses.
 
At first I was baffled over Loui getting invited. However, the WC isn't NHL level. Maybe here he can still be somewhat effective in a complimentary role, scoring a few goals around the crease area. That's of course barring we don't get enogh better forwards coming to push him down the depth chart.
 
Well, Hörnqvist, & M.Pettersson are available now. How I wish Högg wasn't invited so we could get MP as the 6/7D. But now if Klingberg/Ekholm accept there'll be no space for him.
 
Why is Grönborg inviting crap? Didn't like the invitation of Krüger who's been getting worse year by year and now fossil Loui Eriksson?
 
I mean, I dislike the invites of players like Hägg and Eriksson as the next fan, but at least they are NHL trash. At least it's not SHL trash. Eriksson has his uses though (as someone said, he's a really good PK'er), but Hägg, I still have a hard time to swallow. If Pettersson (the defenseman) or Dahlin gets left out, because Hägg is in the lineup... oh boy.

Hörnqvist might've had a bad season, but he's still a role player this team needs. A grease in the crease/ deflection/ screening guy. You always have room for a Homer kind of guy.

Neither of Hedman, Karlsson or Klingberg will come. They are all injured, guaranteed.

Agree on Hägg and Hörnqvist.

I think Rasmus Andersson might get an invite if Ekholm/Klingberg declines since there’s a need for another righty. Not even counting Hedman, Strålman and Karlsson they’re clearly banged up.
 
Right now Kruger, Hägg and Eriksson are the bad invites.

And I dont understand the rush to add these players considering that WHC is played so late this year.
