I want every "Finland-team" in NHL to go far, far in the Stanley Cup race, of course.
But to play with seven defenders in Worldchampionships is no brainer for me.
In NHL they play with six defenders all the time in the Play Offs ... and sometimes lesser than that. Ice time ya know.
Even if I know that Jukka Jalonen is a stubborn one Finnish ... bitch of a headcoach. With his own principles.
I would easy take two forwards if Carolina Hurricanes drops, that is.

Yeah Laine and Risto always want to play for Finland. Dont throw stones in glasshouse. We still got some good D from NHL in this WC.
EC is getting fewer views each year. Most swedes like black metal. When hockey QF starts, half of Swedens population will watch as usual.

Ismo Lehkonen wants Granlund as center. Tero Lehterä kinda wanted the same and I think Olli Jokinen kind of hinted that way too. I think that we might see it once we get that last forward to join from the NHL.

Swedes are the least prone to listening to metal out of Norway, Finland and Sweden. My Swedish colleagues listen to house(dafuq?!), Hiphop, schlager, dansband etc. Some have heard of metal

Well Sweden is gigantic in size. Its different if you compare Luleå to Stockholm and Stockholm to Malmö etc. Sweden is famous for having lots of good Metal bands actually.

Sure he can. He played for a long time as winger with Mikko Koivu as his center in Minnesota and he has played winger many times in the NT too. If Nashville played him as winger during this season instead of center, they wouldn't have made the playoffs, not because Granlund is bad at winger role but they completely relied on their #1 center Granny. He was the TOI leader of Nashville forwards during the entire season and if I have to guess, probably a top-5 TOI forward in the entire league. I don't know who would compete with same kind of minutes as him, maybe Barkov, Crosby, McDavid, Draisaitl or something. He didn't get much rest during the season.
Finland would get more out of him if he played the position that he played the entire season. That's my point.

I listen to black metal. Best music there is.
That embed, however, is not black metal. It pretty much is the very opposite.
On the topic of Team Finland, embarrassingly bad performance. Especially Marko Anttila should be benched for this "effort"(but won't because he apparently is the team's mascot or something, sort of like Lars Ulrich for Metallica).

Yeah very bad performance, but I seriously hope we confirmed querterfinal now no matter what happens against big nations.

. We all like Rasmus don't we ?We got lucky and got full points. I expect that Jalonen will do changes. Innala comes back in, someone goes out and Granlund will be put to the center and Pesonen will go back with Manninen & Hartikainen.
Pesonen – Sakari Manninen – Teemu Hartikainen
Innala – Granlund – Joel Armia
Filppula – Juho Lammikko – Jere Sallinen
Saku Mäenalanen – Hannes Björninen – Marko Anttila
Why Innala in the second line's wing and not Filppula? Because Innala has been good and secondly there will most likely be at least one more NHL star caliber forward joining the team so Innala will make room for that NHL guy, unless Innala takes Rajala's place and Rajala goes out of the line up. So this way Filppula will get used to his new role and his new line mates.
Boston vs Carolina game starts in about 10-20 minutes. It's a day game in North-America. Game 7! That should be exciting regarding team Finland's next reinforcement(s).

Yup and not invite Määttä before we know if Heiskanen is available. If Heiskanen can't be available, then any of Määttä, Hintz, Lindell or Hakanpää will be great or Aho + TT if Aho is healthy. Jalonen might like our current defenders and because who ever comes, comes so late that if injuries for this current squad happen before their plane would arrive, Jalonen can still reject one of those NHL forwards and get a defender instead.
It smells like an OT game btw.

I don't think the more preferable players being possibly available only next morning makes a ton of difference. The time difference + the players' post-game, -series and -season duties should take long enough that by the time Lehtinen could call Haula and Määttä, they should also know what happened with Dallas.
And, heh, since it's Lehtinen, he'd probably prefer to deal with the Stars' front office.

I'd be actually happy with Haula and Määttä so if Dallas will win, I'm not too upset. As long as they'd be actually coming.
Yeah still hoping for Heiskanen+Hintz, but Haula+Määttä would be better than nothing for sure. If that is the case, i'd think Jalonen would keep the top6 as it is and build a 3rd line around Haula. Something like:
Lammikko - Haula - Sallinen
Plan A definitely! Jere Lehtinen as a Dallas legend has soft spot for his Dallas guys and he is more aware about their will to come, so they'll wait.
Lammikko as a winger should be good indeed. He's quite similar as a player type to Saku Mäenalanen.
Realistically I don't see that Jalonen wants to go messing with PK units so I think that Haula will take a winger spot. It's more likely that Filppula goes to the wing of one line and Granlund goes to the center of Filppula's line. Haula could be on that wing of Granny with Armia and then Pesonen back with Manninen+Hartikainen which was a good line.

Let's not forget that Haula's/Innala's spot can be Hintz' spot as well.
