WC: Team Canada Roster Helsinki-Tampere 2022

I also want to talk about hockey and discuss the lineups, but Gold Standard allows itself to mock the Russian national team. I think it's ugly on his part.

Bear12Good has not been here for 2 years, he is unlikely to return. We often corresponded with him on Russian social networks, he always tried to predict the composition of the Canadian national team, sometimes it seemed to me that he was rooting for Canada more than for Russia😀

And you were Angered by theslatcher in the Team Sweden thread. You really need to keep in mind that politics are not allowed here. One expression of a political opinion once in a while is OK, attempting to start a political debate about nato and Russia is not. The point of this is not to derail a thread. Which is exactly what you’ve done here.

I would like to draw your attention to the behavior of Standart Gold, he systematically allows himself to attack the Russian national team. You didn't notice it or pretended not to notice it. In this case, I suggest you read the comments above.

There is this thing called the "ignore" button. Really useful tool btw.

If what Gold Standard truly bothers you that much, you have that option. You are not a mod and no one cares for your political dogma you spew in this thread.

This year is very strange. Usually, about 20 days before the championship, we knew the preliminary composition of the Canadian national team of 15 people. To date, it is known that only 4 hockey players will play at the World Championship. These are Baterson, Chabot, Severson and Dridger. Or did I miss someone?

I know. I do try to be somewhat optimistic without going overboard. I guess they have played long seasons over the past two years and would welcome an extended summer vacay.

It does feel a little unusual that we are 10 days out and we only know of 5 players. Perhaps they are being more tight lipped to take pressure off the management and players being asked?

Edit: especially since the 8 east teams have been eliminated for the better part of a month.

Maybe they want to surprise us? The final list will include such surnames as Barzal, Scheifele, Marchessault, Stone, McCann, Dubois, Theodore)
 
Maybe they'll go with the bare minimum to dress and pray with 8 more knocked out teams they'll find the players they truly wanted 🤡
