Disappointing about Suzuki but Batherson and Chabot is a great start. Credit to both of them, there is A team potential and each had an easy out after injuries. I'm feeling it this year. Curious about some of the Islanders players as well.

He did say it was due to injury. although not sure how severe the injury is...but whatever. He's got next year and a few years after that to make it up, MTL won't be a serious PO contender for a while.

Wonder if Drysdale will be invited.

Not a great year but he has experience playing for Canada and now has experience playing big mins against elite talent

Healthy enough to have played all 82 games this year, though I won't hold it against him. You're right that he should have ample opportunity in the short term.

I would hope so, very promising young defenceman and he could learn a bit from playing on a team with Chabot and hopefully some other quality defencemen.

Morrissey declined to participate 😪

Would have liked Morrissey, it's been a while since he's been at the tournament and he was very good at the junior level.

I wonder if Formenton gets an invite he has represented canada at the jr level. Would be great to have his speed on the big ice.

Canada doesn't have a very rich selection of players this year. If the national team is not replenished with such hockey players as Barzal, McCann, Marchessault, Stone, Dubois, Theodore, then the team, like last year, will have problems already at the group stage.

Canada have many players to pick from , but when they need to pick very young and 3-4 liners then you will not win the worlds anymore, the other top 6-7 and even top 10 will have a chance when its not the best

They won last year.

They will play on NHL size rink

Interesting, I still think he would be a good player to have he is an incredible pker would be good in a 4th line role.

Love to see him but he is a free agent I do believe so he isn't likely to go

I wonder if that mutual decision has something to do with him having unfinished business this summer.

Could very well be the U20's in August. He has been in so many places in the last calendar year - WC's, abbreviated U20's and Olympics all for Hockey Canada and of course both Michigan and Buffalo.

Bert we won when many magic tricks took place on the final 2 match days and when they figured out Power was our best d man. Extremely exciting event but we could really stand to have some more bonafide NHLers step up here to take some of the drama out of the round robin.

he would skip practices tho because of hes minor injuries its nothing serious but just little bruises and this tournament aint that important neither
