I hate the Doan pick.

He works really hard, plays physical, great teammate with experience at that level. Ok I am biaised, but you need guys to do the dirty work and IMO he is good at it. :dunno:

I disagree with 3 choices and this is what i wanted to see :

Crosby or Spezza instead of Doan
Staal instead of Draper
Phaneuf instead of Foote

Other than that it's pretty much what i expected.

I love how they have to have english and french translations but when the questions come up they don't translate french questions into english.

Draper is a ridiculous joke, so are some omissions.

And Staal as a replacement...

Bad, just bad

And that sub-par season from Doan...

I though picking up this team was already hard enough, why making it even harder by using spots on guys who were not even consider as "hard to cut"???

Honestly, even if they win the gold, this team will remained severly under what could have been...

Interesting stat:

Only four teams are sending two players to TC, and they all reside in the NW.

Vancouver: Bertuzzi, Jovonovski
Calgary: Iginla, Regher
Colorado: Sakic, Blake
Edmonton: Smyth, Pronger

The Lightning are sending three.

If this doesn't cement Rick Nash as the most overrated player in the NHL than I don't know what does.

When Doan is out there pounding guys, doing the dirty work and killing penalties you'll see. We'll talk after the tournament. Not everyone will need to score the goals. Even though he did score the winner in the World Cup.

By the way, Doan has played very well over the past several games and seems to have definitely turned the corner in Phoenix.

Draper isn't a joke, you need a checking center on this team and there is none better than Kris.

TC doesn't like to go with young guys because they aren't proven to deliver under pressure situations. That's why no Spezz, Staal and Crosby.

i personally would have went with Shanahan over Doan.

Draper does all that and better.... dont need a team of grinders...

I personally would have taken Spezza and Staal over two of Draper, Doan and Smyth, and judging from reactions on the board I guess I'm not alone in that oppinion.

Funny, I heard he was "sleeping" in Phoenix from several fans.

Staal should be a regular instead of Doan. I'm sorry (considering you are a coyotes fan) but Staal would benefit the team more than Shane Doan.
