I hate the Doan pick.

He works really hard, plays physical, great teammate with experience at that level. Ok I am biaised, but you need guys to do the dirty work and IMO he is good at it.

I disagree with 3 choices and this is what i wanted to see :

Crosby or Spezza instead of Doan
Staal instead of Draper
Phaneuf instead of Foote

Other than that it's pretty much what i expected.

When Doan is out there pounding guys, doing the dirty work and killing penalties you'll see. We'll talk after the tournament. Not everyone will need to score the goals. Even though he did score the winner in the World Cup.

By the way, Doan has played very well over the past several games and seems to have definitely turned the corner in Phoenix.

Draper isn't a joke, you need a checking center on this team and there is none better than Kris.

TC doesn't like to go with young guys because they aren't proven to deliver under pressure situations. That's why no Spezz, Staal and Crosby.

Funny, I heard he was "sleeping" in Phoenix from several fans.

Staal should be a regular instead of Doan. I'm sorry (considering you are a coyotes fan) but Staal would benefit the team more than Shane Doan.
