Ya, but we all know Lazarus is trying to dredge up the Levshunov vs. Demidov thingFWIW he had the Hawks at 4th
Habs at 3rd
Wild at 2
Sharks at 1

Just thought it was worth mentioning the rankings as a whole since I didn’t see them posted anywhere.Ya, but we all know Lazarus is trying to dredge up the Levshunov vs. Demidov thing
Columbus should get the most shit if you ask me.i dont read too much sports writing but does Anaheim and Columbus get as much crap as the Blackhawks do for not drafting Demidov?
Lazerus comes off very whiny. He has also fallen off the rails in the political loophole that is 'X' now. All he does is post people saying negative things about Hawks players and how they are wrong or his hatred for a political party. It's always something negative
Laz is a stroke
Will Smith being on their list despite him being up the entire season ruins the list. Allan and Crevier have played less in the NHL this season, but aren't ranked for the Hawks. The wild's system being above the Hawks is pretty crazy to me. Even the Sharks. Luca Cagnoni is the 5th best prospect in San Jose's system -- with Wheeler keeping Smith ranked, so realistically he's 4th -- and I don't think the kid is ever going to be a high-impact player in the NHL. How many 5'9" D in the NHL are long-term, top-end players? Maybe he carves out a role as a PP specialist in sheltered minutes but is that what you want from your 4th best prospect?

Agree with you on Cagnoni. Small defenseman that are actually assets to an NHL team are still relatively rare. They don't generally turn into Quinn Hughes or Lane Hutson.
Hawks are weak up front, but Sharks are shit on the backend. Again, Cagnoni hitting is unlikely. But there seems to be this feeling amongst many that Sam Dickinson is trending towards being a #1D because he's had a good season in the CHL. Who cares? He had a mediocre U20 performance and a defender putting up points in the CHL in their D+1 season doesn't mean a whole lot. Korchinski did that, struggled in the NHL a year after, and is now (according to Wheeler) on his way to being a #3D in the NHL.
Not to mention their right side D is barren and probably will continue to be after this year's draft because they aren't using their 1st on a righty D and there is a noticeable drop off after the first 20 or so picks (their 2nd 1st, Dallas' pick, will be a late 1st).
That team is sort of the opposite of the Hawks, outside of landing a 1C with a 1st overall pick. Where our farm/young guys are awful up front, our future D is stacked. Their forwards of the future are already mostly there, but a lot has to happen for them before they have a legit NHL D core. Goaltending wise, they win because of Askarov.
Allan and Crevier would likely be in my top 15, just for the fact they look like NHLers, albeit not difference makers.Crevier has 47 games over 2 seasons and honestly he wouldn't be in my top-15 even if he were deemed eligible. Wheeler's never been a fan of Allan bc he doesn't bring any offense. That's fair enough. Allan likely peaks in the NHL as a reliable mid-pairing guy, and that's fine.
