Team Canada 2022

Stone has been terrible.

I wanted him on McDavid’s wing previously, but he might be playing himself into a 4th line checking role.
 
I said before the MTL/VGN series that it would decide where Price and Weber fit in. I've seen enough...Price will be the starter and Weber makes it. I dropped Girard for Weber, but he depending on how next starts he could be back in and Hamilton out. b/c he likes museums. I didn't think Mtl could win anything more than 1 game v Vegas. I think Richardson should be named to the coaching staff.

I am sure he still probably makes the team, especially because Canada is thin at left-handed defensemen.

But Shea Theodore has been very soft and very error-prone whenever a team has forechecked him these playoffs.

No I get that but JT on the 3rd line as a winger isnt pretty either,nobody is saying to put a bunch of grinders in the starting top 6 ..But cant a good third line player like a Connor Brown not have a good defensive role on a 4th line
 
Ben Chiarot deserves a look.

He's ridiculous defensively. Playing way over his head I imagine but his level of play is much higher than any other left handed Canadian defenseman.

Such a tough player to play against.

No. This is absolutely dumb. In a best v best tournament that's exactly what not to do.
Literally any and all Canadian Cs are capable of playing the wing. JT as a 3rd line winger on Team Canada's best team is absolutely the way to go, waaaay more than Connor Brown.

Nope. Your opinion is wrong.
Canada has won the last 3 best on best tournaments taking the best players available and that's the way it should be/is going to be. Connor Brown should be nowhere near this team

Nah. Completely disagree. There should be absolutely no 3rd line grinder role players on any Canadian Olympic team. Thank god you're not the GM lol.

That "slow old fart" is miles better than what Connor Brown has to offer for the Canadian Olympic team. In fact don't be surprised if he does make the team should NHLers go. Even if it isn't JT, it will be a player that is surely better than JT, and surely better than any 3rd/4th line grinder plug.

Yep miles better,how many short handed goals he get on the PK ???Or overall Brown had 21 and led the league in the latter with 5...To JT ,s 19 ...

Again never said it had to be Brown but he would be a far far better option on the third or 4th line role than a player like JT

No he wouldn't. He wouldn't even be a better option than any players better than JT.

Also JT had 50 pts in 56 games this season, Connor Brown had 35. No one in their right mind would take Connor Brown or any player like him over far better talents like JT. Thank god you're not GM lmfao, awful.

And again I dont agree with you JT is a slow center that cant play a proper bottom 6 role...Points arent everything dude you have to be able to actually play some defense...But again we are never going to see eye to eye here so have a good night

He literally played a bottom role on Team Canada in 2014 & 2016 and won in both of those tournaments, playing a critical role in team defense. So that completely shoots down your narrative of "can't play a proper role".
Points are everything, goals are everything, especially in an Olympic knockout tournament versus other countries best players. You take the best players, and they'll adapt to the role to win. Team Canada has been doing this since 2010 and it's clearly worked while your proposed method hasnt. That's why 1998 and 2006 were failures. You can't be this dense. Here's your L

How many did I suggest again...one?? And never said it had to be him as the guy but one like him...But go ahead and watch a bunch of old slow men,try and PK against faster younger players
