Would be hilarious if this was a sign and trade to Toronto just to make this day even more eventful.

May not be Toronto, but I would think a sign and trade is still possible. Although at $8.5M, they can probably complete their necessary signings over the next couple of years without having to lose too much talent.

Can't see them being happy with the 6th best player on their team making 8.5.
