Oh my god, you need to post that on the main board. What a trade!

An eastern conference scout said he "hasn't heard anything bad on him, even if he's not like a Jonathan Toews-like leader".

If Hall had an attitude or issues like that, we'd know.

I think we've got plenty of leadership on our team already. With such a young team over in Edmonton they probably asked too much of Hall too soon. Here he'll be able to be one of the guys, and grow from watching guys like Zajac and Greene. It's a great culture he's coming into.

Not worried about character issues from his OHL days. Merrill was a disaster in college, and we haven't heard a peep about that since he went pro.

I don't really care if Hall is a bit arrogant or egocentric (and those are rather subjective criteria, anyhow) because it's not like those are insanely uncommon traits in talented people or young people. If those are the worse traits the media can accuse him of, that isn't too bad, in my opinion. And I really don't care about the "feud" with Eakins. Eakins was a clown who was unfit to be an NHL head coach. Not saying Hall is a perfect person, but as a player he is exactly the talented forward that we need. I like Larsson, but given our team situation and Taylor's talent, I make this trade one hundred times out of a hundred regardless of intangibles. Intangibles are nice but this team needs goals. Taylor can score them even if he does it with a bit of a star attitude.

Merrill was never an A-hole as far as his teammates though.

It's like two "bad dogs" - One that pees on the rug and the other that bites people... One is a little more tolerable than the other.

***Not saying this is the case here with Hall...Just speaking in generalities and more to Merrill's transgressions

I don't think Hall was a bad teammate. Henrique seems happy to be reunited with him, and they were teammates before, and McDavid sounded upset that Hall was traded.

Edmoton fans have been signing his praised and says he is a hard worker and has matured a lot.

Really not even a concern with me.

I could not possibly care less lol. I want a cocky young player to piss off the other teams in the NHL. As long he's producing and isn't an ass to his teammates, have fun.

Im sure these have been posted somewhere in the million Hall threads, but Ill throw them out again.

Players who score at a higher 5v5 rate than Taylor Hall over the past two seasons:

Sidney Crosby
Jamie Benn

NHL 17 trade where NJ offers Larsson to Edm for Hall:

While I think Hall is already the better player I fully expect Larsson to turn a lot of heads this season. He's going to be legit #1 in Edmonton and playing all situations. If he's first line PP expect numbers to balloon.

Hopefully NJ can get their **** togeths for this season, Schneider going to be standing on his head some more but hopefully offense is there to give actual relief.

Go Spitfires' line!!!!

With the addition of Taylor Hall, the Devils will have had 3 former 1st overall draft picks to play in New Jersey...Without looking, can you name the other 2?

If my dog bites people but he doesn't bite me, he's cool. If my dog pisses on my rug all the time, he's out.
