That argument is so silly.
Its like trading your best D man for Malkin and saying you got the 2nd best forward from Pens. Who cares? you got Malkin, and his individual skill level is all that matters.
Silly or not, losing Hall is not a major dent in Edm's fwd pool, they remain beyond stacked.
Losing Larsson creates a big hole in NJ. So if they wanted him, they would have to over pay. They did, and I think it makes edm a better team because of it. And it is about becoming a better team right? Edmonton's problems the last bunch of years has been the opposite, a vast collection of individual parts, but not a complete roster.
