Thompson was one of the only Sabres that actually showed up in the second game vs the Flyers. Keep box score watching though…

Versus the game before against the Flyers where he was 1-2-3 and a +3 and pretty much single-handedly provided the scoring to win? Are we going to get selective about shifts now? Portions of shifts?

Dude, in games in which he’s scoreless Tage has zero points. That’s unbelievable and, frankly, unacceptable. In multi-point games? He’s averaging over 2 points per game. Insanely streaky player, not cool.

5g 9p in 6gp since you started this thread. You can cherry pick any top scorer and find splits like his. Most guys pile up the majority of their points in a relatively small proportion of games.

That's why I prefer Panarin (at least so far), who doesn't score a bunch of hatties but scores a point or two in every game. And Rangers have 5 more points than Toronto...
