Does your league allow trades? Would highly consider itfor my fantasy team's sake.
Johnny Hockey. Huberdeau. He's not the only one to have a big slowdown after getting his big contract. Robertson in Dallas is another.
Haven't followed. Robertson hasn't been great? He's not the only one to have a big slowdown after getting his big contract. Robertson in Dallas is another.
I mean, two games ago he was nothing but a bull and created two goals. To me right now its his work ethic in games, but its also buffalo in general. I dont like granato as a coach, they play way to loose of system. And tage is playing that way as well and not enough hard work direct play. A guy his size with those hands should be a bull, but like the team hes sometimes not skating and thinking he can just float and then toe drag around everyone.
I am a huge fan though, he has all the tools.

The inconsistency is part of my point along with the effort game to game. I am a massive fan and I believe he's good enough to do what he wants on the ice, very few players have that ability, he just has not put in the effort consistently this season. But I also don't know if that's partly due to the loose style of play Granato has them playing. Even against Minny he had one rush where he just stormed in set up a great goal he created out of very little, but beyond that I didn't see him much.I mean, two games ago he was nothing but a bull and created two goals.
Last game not so much.
Johnny Hockey. Huberdeau.
Not sure why you are being snarky with my post. The post I was replying to was referencing players who fall off after a big signing and I mentioned 2.Thompson signed his current deal prior to the 22–23 season, and then went from 68 points to 94 points.
So yes, very identical situation to Gaudreau and Huberdeau.
I mean they played the Penguins in a b2b everyone on the team was gassed that game and the decision to use 7 defensemen didn't help the forwards out much. The inconsistency is part of my point along with the effort game to game. Besides vc I want buffalo to win a cup more then anyone.
It's not just one game though he and the team have not worked hard enough. If it was nobody would have created this thread and buffalo would be better. They got boo'd off the ice against Philly...I mean they played the Penguins in a b2b everyone on the team was gassed that game and the decision to use 7 defensemen didn't help the forwards out much.

Someone brought up players who fell off after getting a big contract and I threw out 2 names.Because it doesn't apply on any level whatsoever. Thompson wasn't traded prior to the deal (like Huberdeau), he wasn't a big free agent fish (like Gaudreau), he's a couple years younger than both, he signed a cheaper deal by a couple of millions than both, and he hasn't even been that bad (both Gaudreau and Huberdeau's been benched this season) so far this season, just a bit inconsistent.
Fair enough. But, again, in my defense, someone brought up players who fell off after getting a big contract and I threw out 2 names.
Is Philly even bad this year? They shutout the Canucks great the Sabres played bad against them and the Philly game before that Thompson had a 3 point night....I really don't think he was the main problem in the game they got worked in either. Its not like they are the Sharks or something. It's not just one game though he and the team have not worked hard enough. If it was nobody would have created this thread and buffalo would be better. I really don't know what you are arguing, nobody said he is to blame, but he like the team have not played hard enough and alot of that blame falls on granato as well.Is Philly even bad this year? They shutout the Canucks great the Sabres played bad against them and the Philly game before that Thompson had a 3 point night....I really don't think he was the main problem in the game they got worked in either. Looks like Tage is playing like a Selke level forward as well as a PK-monster so far. I'll take it.
