I mean, your not too old to just look at the scoresheet and think that tells the whole story of this particular game. Thompson's line outshot (15-5), out chanced (13-3) and out high-danger chanced (4-0) their Vegas counterparts tonight and did just about everything but score including ringing the iron.
But go ahead and tell us all about how he sucked tonight and don't dislocate anything with those back pats. You might need that arm to adjust your glasses.
Of course, it's just they give points for wins, and you need to score to win games...

Maybe you are right, but it is truly baffling that you chose to resurrect a 4 month old dead thread to try and make this case on a night where if you watched (which you clearly didn't) then you would know he played great. So if you don't even care enough to watch and see if Thompson is playing well, then why do you care enough to resurrect dead threads on the topic and pretend like you have an informed opinion?

Alright, the game wasn't the epitome because unlike many other games this one Buffallo managed to win. But it's still very illustrative.

Ahh so there is no variance in hockey gotcha. Players don't have hot streaks and cold streaks, they always score at exactly the same rate all the time. Well this is a new revelation for me. Next time I see a good player hit a cold streak I will know it's not that they are getting unlucky, it's just that they started to suck all of a sudden and forgot how to play hockey.
