So to say I was wrong about him, is astronomical. To say that a simple switch of moving him to C, and letting him do his thing was such a simple judgement is silly. Tage Thompson, I'm not sure what kind of unicorn you are, but for heavens sake, I'm now fully invested. I know I've already made my apologies, but I continue to be baffled. His jump from barely rostered player, to our best forward is insane. I cannot think of a player that has done that outside of Marchessault in the last bit.

Just noticed that ESPN still thinks of him as a winger for some reason.
From their fantasy page where he's listed as a RW

Spin: Thompson had yet another spectacular outing in 17:41 of ice time as he led his team to victory by scoring Buffalo's sixth goal of the game at the 6:39 mark of the third period. The 25-year-old winger is coming off a 68 point campaign last season, and is on pace to significantly surpass those numbers this year with 26 points in his first 19 outings.

Matthews and Thompson were teammates for a year at the NTDP too. Weird to look at that team and see all of the players who outscored Tage then who are most definitely not better than him now. Or that Brendan Warren had one less point than Tage and he's barely and AHLer...

Matthews said that they work out together during the offseason in Arizona.
