Yep. Big time adversity for this team. I am hopeful they will get on track again.

I don't know, what are we playing for? We don't have the goaltending to compete with the top teams in the league. We dominate for 20 minutes, put up a goal, and our goaltender comes out in the second period and just hands them the game.

Positives:
-Nico looked faster and better this game and got rewarded with 2 assists
-Boqvist had a pretty good game
-McLeod looked good like he has quite a bit lately
-Okhotiuk had a decent first game

Negatives:
-Blackwood sucks which we already knew
-need more from Hughes and Bratt.
Bratts drive wide and throw a weak back hander on net is happening way too much and getting old fast.
Hughes needs to play through his skating. That’s always when he’s at his best. He can dominate when he’s does that but he’s not doing it nearly enough this year.
-Siegenthaler looks better but still not at the level he can play at and we need him to play at especially with guys out.

We hit the crossbar twice in the second period. I agree that the finishing isn't anywhere near good enough, but we were there in the 2nd. #29 wasn't.

Before the Mac stinker (goal 2), they were pushing play in the 2nd, had the Nico 2 on 1, the Crossbar, and the bratt shot which stopped on the goal line. Team was firing, then the momentum completely changed on that horrid rebound from Mac. Cmon man, then a big save couldn’t be made on their good player like how Ullmark stopped our best shot that period, on Bratt. (Mac was also off his angle on #3), but idc bout that one. That second one was beer league and sunk them.

We’re 8 points up on a playoff spot going into the new year. No one expected this. Team is still out skating every opponent they play against. They’re shooting like an unsustainable 6% over this losing streak. Eye test and advanced stats test prove this. They haven’t rolled over. They have the best up and coming center in the league. Calm the f*** down and enjoy the holidays folks.
