I'm all for team optimism, but IMO anyone who's watched football for at least a decent chunk of time knew Danny Dimes (Pennies) was never going to be the guy. (Except for Giants ownership & management)

I remember in 2012 people on here were saying Ovy was no longer an elite goal sorcerer, he was washed, Caps would be better off trading him etc.

He had good stats outside of fumbles in his rookie year. But it was mostly bumped up by 4 great games against bad teams. But he's regressed significantly since then.

Little did I know, he would be the architect to the biggest downfall in the Crosby era. The bickering with players, idiotic usage, bizarre idea of accountability, weaseling above the GM to negotiate an extension when he had 2yrs left on his other deal, misusing several players to the point the GMs would take massive losses to move them out. His playing favourites and other dumb shit and not wanting to use youth, right now he has healthy scratched Jesse Puljujarvi for playing well.
