Management handicapped this team before the game even started. Just inexcusable. That sieve doesn’t belong anywhere near a team that’s trying to make the playoffs.

Some of you folks harping on the rest of the team are just flat out wrong. They played a team on pace for 130+ points evenly and lost by a goal. The fact that our team could do this missing two top 4 D is even more impressive. There is ZERO doubt that the difference in this game was one goaltender could make difficult saves and the other one is trash.

I’ve often said that the skaters should play tighter D when they know they have someone average or worse in net. Well, how about having a goalie capable of having an above average game knowing that there are two rookies on the blue line due to injury?

Anyone still defending this guy can go pound sand. I’m so disgusted that he’s still in our org. Get him the f*** outta here.

We had breakaways and open looks against Ullmark too. But he made saves because he's an NHL caliber goalie.

Yeah and usually when you're playing well but losing you're due to win some games. It's when you're losing and playing like shit that you really need to get worried.

Non stop losing is a concern because the team will eventually run out of confidence.

It's not even like he just became BAD two years ago.

I know I babble a lot and make all these run-on, long-winded posts about it, but hear me out for once. If this is the last post anyone ever reads again before putting me on ignore FOREVER, then read this first.

Blackwood's last 52 games in the AHL between 2017-2018 and 2018-2019, he was an .890%. And his last game (before the recent conditioning stint) in the AHL was like January or February of 2019.

That was LONG before COVID, INJURIES, WHATEVER.

The only time he looked like a good pro league goalie was those first two years in the NHL and maybe his first AHL year was okay.
