swiss are really weak this year getting outshot 12-4 by slovakia ouch...

5vs5 the Swiss were better. First 5mins by a lot. Bit more even since but the Swiss still had the better chances. Fust really should have scored.

It is because of the PP's. I've been not exactly impressed by either team so far.

Yeah. Goalies do look very good though. Not just that they didn't allow any goals...they're also really calm and their rebound control is excellent. They're not giving up much.

I didn't know you were some 'poster from Brno'... that's awesome. I'm from Brno too!
That's cool, I am spending the Christmas holidays in the highland but I enjoy Brno as a city a lot. Pity there is currently that bloody lockdown, otherwise we could meet for a beer somewhere.

But to the SVK - SUI game. As much as I was tuned for the tournament to begin, the first perion was rather boring.

Cant take so many stupid penalties, the Slovaks have to score eventually if we keep this up.

First and third one were dumb penalties. Especially the first one where Pezzullo was entirely in control of the situation. 2nd penalty was a made up bs call.

Huh? Slovaks had 3v1 and basically had an empty net on the first PP that Chromiak couldn't get lumber on.

Slovak PP did look good but 5vs5 they didn't create much. First 5mins they were horrible. Bit better afterwards but by no means impressive.

Did Bob McKenzie just say Slafkovsky is no Marian Gaborik? Poor comparison in my opinion, Gaborik was speed and Slafkovsky is a monster. He did say Slafs has got first round potential. I'd say.

Slafkovsky reminds me of Laine IMO

I love how TSN interviewed him because he was probably the most Canadian sounding guy on the ice

slovakia has offensive talent how the hell did they lose 6-0 vs the czech the gap shouldn't be that big its the Big 5 these days its no longer a big 6 in my opinion

Czechs have an experienced team. Bunch of returning guys and 19 year old players mixed with a few really promising young players.
Slovaks have very limited experience. But should be good in a couple years.

Yeah, these 16 year olds have multiple junior tournaments ahead of them. I'd be curious if we have promising players in the younger generations, Slovakia could ice a competitive junior team in 2-3 years.

From former NHLer Kris Versteeg watching the game, “slafkovsky is unreal and nemec is great.” The kids are all right.:)
I mean what else can he say, "these kids aren't really that good"? The whole purpose of WJC in TSN is to make people believe these kids are future stars so they should really watch them.
