London has a great track record for developing talent and the Hawks are not burning an elc year. It made a lot of sense to send him where they did. Also remember that he is really young for his draft class.
Since he’s playing in North America, it would make more sense for him to play pro hockey against men in the AHL in his draft+1 year, like what Sandin is doing. The only reason he’s in juniors now is because his defensive game is not good enough and/or he is not physical enough for the AHL. His concussion history could be a factor as well.
