I'd like to clarify in my ranting that 42 and 44 were entertaining as hell almost from start to finish and were shining lights despite any fault in Survivor's format at the time. Like Hai, Omar and Jonathan are musts in returning players and the ballad of the Tika 3 was amazing because the other tribes were so cut throat and you were ready for chaos if anyone but Tika lost. But most other seasons? Yeah, the game didn't breathe until the merge and then it was FAAARRRRR better. It's really hard to watch a Lulu, Ua and Yanu or not being able to tell you the other 2 players Gabler was with in 43 because of a far less memorable post merge.
this post might as well have been written in Chinese, that's how little of it I could follow. When people start listing seasons by number and the names of players I have no clue who they are talking about lol.

I'm 54 and of course could tell that she looked much older than 45, but I wonder if young people can really tell the difference between 45 and 60. To them, every one over 40 might be ancient and all look the same.
Maybe her cosmetic work looks even better in person than on TV and she can actually fool some of them (I doubt it). I have a feeling though that she'll probably say something that will tip them off to her real age even if they don't notice it by her looks.

In her bio she talks about her daughter who was 30 during Season 45, and that she started her pilot school in her 50's so I'm sure that she probably slipped up when talking about her family.

I’m roughly half that age, and I think most in like an 18-33 range can tell the differences and can guess someone’s age, give or take like five years.

Oh my God they're gonna consolidate the tribes into 2 groups of 7. Thank you Jesus!!!! I don't hate New Era but my God do I hate watching 3 and 4 people vote on like day 9 over and over and over and over. They should have been doing this the entire time. In both seasons of Brains, Beauty, Brawn they had the sense to do this with 14 players. If they ever let a "tribe" get to 3 players again they need to scrap the 6 vs 6 vs 6 format

Thank you thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU for not making me sit through another Ua, Tika, Lulu and Yanu

Love your passion and I agree with everything you're saying really. I hope they scrap the 3 x 6 tribes. So dumb. I'm just glad that there's not one tribe getting shit on so far this season. Way better to watch competitive tribes go at it as opposed to one just getting dunked on every time.

I like the big messy early votes. OK occasionally it goes like 9-1, or like 7-2-1 with an idol backup, but most times you get just rando chaos votes that can be fun. Wish they'd go back to 10-10 starters.

I'm actually okay with 3 x 6. It is cleaner to start with and forces a lot of early strategy. What is don't like is what you just said and seeing a player who would be a 1st boot on any season basically get carried to the merge on a strong team while a weak tribe with good players is repeatedly eaten every episode. Put Liz on last year's Yanu team instead of Jess and she goes home 1st or 2nd. But she made final 4...

What's ironic is this season out of any could have been left alone and been great TV but every other season that needed the tribes to go from 3 to 2 was left alone

One of the greatest exits in Survivor history. I'm going to rewatch it when I get home from work.

I just wish the tall guy told her off at the end when she was standing there. She was never planning to stay loyal to him once the merge hit. she's 100% one of those clowns who would insist on trying to make an all female alliance once the merge hit. I f-ing hate players like that with a passion.

She also thought she was smarter than everyone there. Her and that other broad thought they were running things.

Love seeing players salty after getting voted out.

With merge right around the corner, I have to imagine Andy's odds of making it to the final three are pretty high.

He definitely fits the mold. Best position to be in at the merge is to be the weakest player in the minority alliance. They always make it far.

Absolutely same, and I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often to be honest. This is one of my all-time favorites:

Jake's reaction makes it so much better and then Austin acknowledging being the one to stab her in the back is just a chef's kiss moment.

Kellie said she blacked out at like the 3rd vote and didn't even remember her reaction lol.

My wife and I were talking about Kellie's exit last night. That was a classic. "I don't even know where my torch is" LOL. The only difference between that and last night is Kellie made the jury so we got to see her continue to be salty every week when it was time for tribal council. She would sit there the entire tribal making faces and talking shit to whoever had the misfortune of sitting next to her in the jury.

My wife and I quote that moment quite often. Between Jake's "WHOAAA... Sorry... Whoa." And kellie's "What the hell, guys?"

And yes, her salty tribal moments were great as well. Excellent television all around.

Abso freaking lutely

The girl power angle gets tried every year and every year it falls apart. I'm so sick of it. Men and women need to work together. Tony and Sarah ran friggin rough shot over everyone in 40

About Sue's age; At the very max she should have said 49, if she wanted the aura of being under 50 then fine, mayyyybe, but yeah just too young to claim

Was a good tribal, Sam really had no reason to vote with the girls, it was clear Sierra would have preferred to keep her, but she had no power/sway with Anika's vote gone

The edit of Andy playing the girl's was kind of dumb in that it wasn't some great social play, they both knew they were on opposite sides and were probably lying to each other; but maybe it did lead to Anika being even more shocked thinking he was scrambling and willing to vote Sam

This is what i really dislike about this era and all the losing your vote. Anika lost her vote really of no choice of her own. Went on the journey and just automatically lost her vote and had to try and luck her way back into it. Since she lost it, it didnt really give Sierra the option to go with the girls if she wanted to.

I agree that the lose your vote thing is stupid. I'd like to see them do something different, for instance if you take the advantage on the journey your tribe gets a disadvantage at the next challenge. Nothing major, but enough so it forces a tough decision.

Only problem with that is then everyone on your tribe would know you took the advantage and put yourself above the entire tribes chances to win so you might end up putting yourself on the chopping block pretty quickly. It would definitely make things interesting though.

I think they made the wrong decision. Ani would’ve been a more loyal alliance member than Andy. Andy has gotten a little more normal, but is still weird and erratic. Sam obviously got his way over Sierra.

Ani’s reaction was amazing. Everyone always leaves right away. She took her time to the point I was wondering if Jeff might ask her to leave.

disagree about the first part. Ani already demonstrated that she was not loyal to Sam who was supposedly in her alliance. from day 1, she hasn't been a fan of Sam and made that clear. She also formed a sub alliance with 3 of the 4 members of her so called alliance. Andy, OTOH, has been nothing but loyal to Sam and Sierra since they threw him a life line. He knows he owes them and strikes me as a very loyal alliance member.

Ani would've ditched Sam the second she got to the merge.

Exactly and she even said it in her final confessional after getting voted off that was she mad that they blindsided her before she could do it to them lol

She said in her post-elimination interview on RHAP that she was going to stay loyal to Sam. I don't see what reason there would be to lie in that. She might've been more loyal to Sierra and Rachel, but that doesn't mean she was turning on Sam once the merge hit.

If you're Sierra and Rachel, I think it's clear why they'd prefer Ani. She was loyal to them. She's friends with them. They had a three person alliance. Andy is a little bit of an outcast and weird and unpredictable, even if he's calmed down a little of late.

Sam got his way. Was a good move for him, but Sierra lost this one and it doesn't benefit Rachel either.

This week was one of the more enjoyable episodes I've watched in a while.

Last week's vote out reaction may have been the start of something good. Great editing this week to show us just how oblivious Rome was. Instead of trying to "trick" us into thinking he might not go home, they showed us exactly how everyone played into his ego that ended with Rome being so sure he wasn't going home he wasted his vote. Not even a single thought of it being him.

Then the sitting on Jeff's stump. The look on some of the other player's faces looked like they knew they were essentially watching him fulfill a Make a Wish Dream before his Survivor life came to an end, he just had no clue that is what was happening. It is incredible that he was able to fully explain why the Amulet people wanted to get rid of it yet he had zero awareness that everyone was like, "We hate him and we're all going to vote for him."

People like Rome make for great Survivor moments and drama, but they aren't great Survivor players. Luckily there appears to be a large number of very unaware, full of themselves players left in the game. Definitely more total blindsides coming which, as Andy said, are pretty awesome.

I was kinda irked that Jeff let him sit on his chair tbh. He's such an insufferable douche that shouldn't have gotten that privilege.

Agreed about the episode overall though. I like sometimes when they don't try to trick you and just show you straight out how oblivious and pompous some players are. He really thought running around talking shit the entire day would somehow not come back to bite him. Zero awareness, and I feel like that probably extends to his life outside the game too. He seems like the type that just rubs every person he meets the wrong way, but assumes everyone loves him. One of the more satisfying votes of the season, imo.

Andy is growing on me. He went loco at the beginning, but he's actually doing some good work in the game so far since then and seems to understand what's happening most of the time. Also, I love that he straight out told Jeff that blindsides are fun as hell. That's the kind of reaction I wanna see.
