Not voting out Andy was the stupidest thing, was watching with someone and was like, if they're stupid enough not to vote out that walking red flag they deserve to lose every challenge; and I hope they do.

Also, it was legit the weirdest mental break down ever witnessed on Survivor; Hannah and David in s33 for example had panic attacks and anxiety throughout the whole season, but it was much less chaotic and more internalized , same with Ben's last season and numerous others throughout the show (Other than Brandon's, but the he just had unhealthy obsessions with players throughout his tenure, and seems a different type of crazy). I don't think that dude should have passed the psych evaluation, and it's gonna be annoying having him on the screen for however long he remains

I do think they did fine tune some of their new era advantages to be a bit more tame this season, the hike and idols were cool
I told my wife the same exact thing. I hope this tribe becomes the new "loses every challenge" tribe bote out the f***ing looney and teach these people a lesson that you can't just come onto survivor and act like a POS lunatic and get rewarded.

The fact that Andy threw his tantrum in front of all 3 tribes is just beyond bizarre. He was already speaking in the past tense when he was throwing his little tantrum. absolutely bizarre.

They're already teasing Andy for episode 2 and seeing how ridiculous he gets, so i am already annoyed to see how far this absurdity goes.

Right, I was just screaming 'why tf did you do that' and then they immediately tease that yeah, everyone watching at home was right and they are just morons. I honestly think it might be the new era kumbaya/scared of social media backlash decision; maybe they legit didn't want to vote someone out first from a mental breakdown; which would be dumb logic but who tf knows, but it's not a good start to the season for many reasons

Also on a side note, this was the worst sound mixing I have ever heard on this show, at least on Paramount+. I had to spend a solid 5 minutes tuning my soundbar just to have the dialogue somewhat audible...they should be embarrassed with all the other cost cutting that they can't manage to have a quality audio mix in 2024

they tried to act like he was having a reaction to the heat, but I felt from minute one that his collapse was 100% anxiety/mental breakdown related and had nothing to do with fatigue or heat exposure.

I'm not even sure at this point I would attribute it to anxiety or a breakdown. I think he was just a coward. He knew they were going to lose so he just gave up and lied down. He thought he was getting voted out so he threw a fit and started talking about everything in the past tense.

The past tense thing was cause he was trying to get medically evac'd. So he was basically trying to say that he'd been medically removed. Honestly I don't think this Andy character wants to win, he just wants the attention on him, to have the spotlight with a medical evac. Wouldn't be surprised if he does it again to once again get the spotlight on himself. He just wants to be the center of attention, that much is clear.

My wife said the same exact thing. It's obvious he wasn't as bad as he was making it out to be. He was trying to get himself med evac'd so he could be a drama queen. The players who truly want to play who get med evac'd do the exact opposite. They talk like they're still in the game while the medical team is removing them. I bet he was bummed out when all his vitals came back good lol.

No talk about last night's weirdly edited episode? The decision to vote to TK was very poorly shown to us. They never showed Gabe talking to whats her name about how he was going to vote out TK and not Sue. I assume that convo had to take place in order to convince what's her name to turn her back on the boys and join Gabe wit the girls. I refuse to believe that she just changed her vote on the assumption that doing so would lead to picking rocks.

I really like the move the tall dude on the yellow tribe made ditching the Indian girl and the white nerdy girl for crazy dude and the other girl. When tall dude found the advantage, Indian girl was upset about it and ran off to tell nerd girl about it right away. Why would Indian girl be that upset considering tall dude was in her alliance? Made it pretty obvious she really didn't want to work with him. Good on tall dude to recognize that and shift to working with low hanging fruit crazy dude.

Crazy dude may be bat shit crazy, but he appears to be loyal to anyone who will throw him a bone, more than can be said about those two other girls.

And if tall dude stuck with the girls and they voted out Crazy there is no doubt that tall dude would be next on the chopping block. Great vision by him to recognize that well enough in advance to do something about it.

editing was terrible and also obvious. I turned to my wife literally 3 minutes into the episode and told her with certainty that blue tribe would be going to tribal and TK would be voted off. The first obvious clue was in the "previously on Survivor" segment they showed the blue tribe nerd girl make a comment about how the boys have formed a bromance. As soon as she said that I knew they were going to tribal. Literally no other reason to plant that seed in the previews. Then a minute or two into the ep we had a confessional with overly cocky TK and I just put 2 and 2 together and confirmed his boot.

Yeah I thought that it was pretty obvious where the vote was going as well. I think the vote is pretty smart, tbh. TK seems pretty annoying and has a toxic attitude. HE literally said "if everyone doesn't have the same attitude as me then they're wrong." Keeping the big strong guys doesn't seem to really be a viable option these days. I do somewhat get the worry about the 'bromance' it seems pretty regularly that players get worried about all-girl alliances, so this is pretty much the same thing.

Yellow tribe is a mess with this beware advantage, lol. Played poorly by pretty much every single one of them.

TK got too cocky. Easy vote out. The way it played out made it seem like Tiyana never talked to Kyle. If so, very stupid of her ditching an alliance member without guidance from him that it wouldn’t ruin their relationship.

This season has been based AF. This has a chance at top 10 all time and I am not exaggerating. Pre merge new era is almost always absolutely bad with one tribe getting its ass kicked every challenge and Jeff glowing in the light of only 4 people having to vote on day 8.

Getting MASSIVE Cagayan vibes. Send it

Great ep last night. it was obvious prety early on who was getting voted out, but still fun to watch it happen. Editing was trying too hard when it came to rallying votes pre-tribal. Once Genevieve and Rome decided to vote out Karim it was already a done deal yet the editing tried to make ti seem like it was still up in the air.

So far it's been a great season in that it's been balanced between all 3 tribes.

Loved the beware idol that came with a crime scene to clean up. she needed to call in Mr Wolf cause she did a terrible job. She should've run straight to the ocean and dunked herself rather than trying to clean up at the water well. But, it seemed like they thought she was covered in blood because she got hurt and was trying to cover it up so maybe she is in the clear. We'll see what she reveals to her alliance members.

Yeah very sloppy play by Sue there to go to the well. I said the same thing... Just go to the ocean and jump in.

So happy to finally see a balanced pre-merge so far where it's not just one tribe getting destroyed.

Rome is insufferable, btw. I hope he gets knocked out sooner rather than later. Sick of him already lol

Sue is in great shape for her age but nobody believes she's 45. I thought that was a silly play by her cause it's super obvious she's lying.

I loved the paint gimmick as well.

Rome was horrible on this show, biggest villian in awhile that I can remember so for that reason alone I hope he sticks around but he seemed like he realized he was even being too much and I think Genevieve talked to him about it.

I don’t like Sue. She’s too much.

Rome is also insufferable, but absolutely great TV. One of the best characters they’ve had on the show in years.

I could be wrong, but I get vibes from the blue tribe that they don’t have many good players. Other two tribes have players I’m eyeing early on as potential winners.

The worst thing about sue right now is her thinking people believe she’s 45.

LETS GOOOO!!!!!! LETS f***ING GO BOYS!!!!!!!! The consistent kumbya/everyone's happy vibes of season 40+ have worn me down. Dont get me wrong, 42 and 44 were amazingly casted but it often wasn't entertaining television. And was completely dominated by starvation and small tribe dynamic. If these tribes get split up into pairs of 7 I am gonna lose my mind like we just won the Cup.

47 has no business hitting this hard. If Rome actually wins it's gonna probably be my #1

I'm glad Rome survived, because while I don't want him to win, he creates conflict. The longer players like that last, the better their downfall/payoff for viewers is. Russell Hantz is a great villain because even when he dominates the game, his comeuppance comes at FTC due to people he underestimated.

The worst thing about sue right now is her thinking people believe she’s 45.
Tyson's take on this was priceless, and he had his kid's guess her age (Tyson is 45).

I'd like to clarify in my ranting that 42 and 44 were entertaining as hell almost from start to finish and were shining lights despite any fault in Survivor's format at the time. Like Hai, Omar and Jonathan are musts in returning players and the ballad of the Tika 3 was amazing because the other tribes were so cut throat and you were ready for chaos if anyone but Tika lost. But most other seasons? Yeah, the game didn't breathe until the merge and then it was FAAARRRRR better. It's really hard to watch a Lulu, Ua and Yanu or not being able to tell you the other 2 players Gabler was with in 43 because of a far less memorable post merge.

Gabe on Blue seems to have more plans than others on that tribe and did a good job leaving the one alliance to form one with Sue and nerdgirl which seems like a better spot for him.

The worst thing about sue right now is her thinking people believe she’s 45.

I'm 54 and of course could tell that she looked much older than 45, but I wonder if young people can really tell the difference between 45 and 60. To them, every one over 40 might be ancient and all look the same.
