You do realize that tier 2 is by no means bad? That means "proven to have current sources".
Tier 2 is bad. Only Tier 1 is good. Tier 2 gets all their stuff from Tier 1 run off. Or they would also be Tier 1.

Also its incredibly subjective criteria. Just saying stick to Tier 1 and no one is complaining. But there is a very basic misunderstanding from you on how the reporting of the transfer window is.

Many of the tier 1 people have tweeted the same things about de Jong.

This is true... look at how many times Frenkie transferred to united. Hope he has air miles.
None of them have said it's a done deal.

This is a HORRIBLE list. All of those Tier 2 are aggregators. A lot of the Tier 1 are lousy too, are tied in with other teams. Any Tier 2 without a name attached is simply not Tier 2. This list is really showing your ass here.

Only the transfer price. That's not the equivalent of "done deal".
But it’s bullshit.

No one knows anything. People are guessing for clicks. Someone will get credit they don’t deserve because a broken clock is right twice a day, and the morons on the internet will think they are an insider.

it’s like believing in the tooth fairy.

So what you're saying is we shouldn't post anything but club confirmed transfers in this thread then?

Tottenham reportedly interested in Israel u19 star Oscar Gloukh. I’ll cry if I have to wish for any modicum of success for that club.

They're also considered either tier 1 or tier 2. Stone, Drucker, Hirst, Whitwell, the Spanish ones.
Then why has this needed to be confirmed 5 separate times (each time leading to an impasse thereafter) at multiple different values?

Perhaps it's because aggregators take tweets out of context and then report with more certainty than the "tiers" reddit created indicate.

Well we certainly shouldn’t be posting the same update 7 times a day for a month. It’s been literally unbearable.
No deal it’s one or the other… I would say it’s easier to put him on ignore but honestly he’s so unintentionally funny, I wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on that.

At this point the only tweet that should be posted here from now on regarding FDJ should be regarding the finalization of the transfer. Or the end of our interest.

I’m saying stick to named Tier 1 sources. Which I (and others) have said several times. Everything else is spam.

There is a difference between posting “The Times” and posting Henry Winter for example.

And no fan site aggregators. Original source or no post.

Way too much for an OK winger from the PL. His end product hasn't been anything to write home about in any of the leagues he played. Wishing for the best for not for that kind of money...

Agreed and as I've been saying. I understand (I think, in case I'm forgetting someone) the rest of the transfer targets to some degree, but not this one.

Often there isn't an original tweet but the original source appeared on tv/radiopodcast/YT show. For example Romano appears on many shows and has his own (?) so naturally his comments from those get spread around.

Breaking News--Frenkie de Jong acquired by my FUT. Unfortunately, he refused an immediate wage reduction and was transfer listed. Player reports he's still not interested in joining Man U.

Not good enough. There is no direct citation. If it’s real Romano will put on his own page after he copies it from Ornstein.

That’s why aggregators aggregate and why they are useless. They are paraphrasing and using for engagement. It’s not real.
