Vegas had that during pandemic, still do. Ive done it but prefer delivery.
But i also like going into the places. Picking up and delivery is so impersonal. Inside The Budtenders are knowledgeable and always help.

I saw a lobster roll on a menu when I was in Florida, it was made with a regular side loading bun. My brother and I walked out of the restaurant. It's called a roll for a reason!

If any of you need to renew your passport, they are piloting online renewals on mytravel.state.gov. It's open to the first 100k or so people that use it.
Can't recommend it enough, you fill it out online as well as take and upload your own picture, just has to be against a white or off-white wall (it automatically crops and approves the picture for you). It's much faster as well, I got my new passport in only 4 weeks and that was without paying for expedited processing.

ill admit. i threw 6 logs in the woodstove tonight. lol. first time this year.not touching the heat until outside temp gets below 30 at least.
Ah Narragansett...the beer that has become a hipster icon in recent years. I remember I worked with a person who liked that stuff. I am willing to go bottom barrel for some beers, but Narragansett like Busch and Natty Light are not beers I would drink unless I was desperate. That stuff is crap to me and I say this as someone who tolerates Molson XXX. Hell I will even go out of my own way to buy Colt 45 if I see it because I actually enjoy it.

Sunday was the hottest Oct 2nd on record in Victoria, and it's supposed to stay hot until at least next Sunday. I'm enjoying the extended summer, because it was late getting started, but getting a week of July weather in October is not a great sign
I did as well during the day. It was just too cold in my apartment. I did turn it off last night because it was finally at a comfortable temp.
We should have a contest....bet I win....my wife says no heat until December
National Day is coming up soon here in Taiwan and I plan to get tanked with a friend of mine either in New Taipei City or downtown Taoyuan. Not much for amateur hour holidays but man these three day weekends make it easy to do so.
So, anyone know anything about wood fireplaces?
I never use mine anymore because it really doesn't add much heat. It looks nice but probably let;s more heat out than in.

I loved & love her music. From her early hits in the 1960s to her Grammy award winning album "Van Lear Rose" in 2005(!) she wrote great songs from a woman's POV. She was the real deal. She had suffered from poor health for quite some time.
May she rest in peace.
Yesterday the inside of our house got down to 54. Thats too cold for our old bones. First time ever can recall the Bride saying she was cold. Maybe an effect of her cancer surgery and treatments ?
But any case , had to bite the bullet.
Right now a quite comfortable 64.

It was 50 here this morning so I threw on a coat to go to work. By the time I leave it will be summer temps outside. Crazy.

i have forced heat so I cranked it to 74 a few times and then shut it off and it stayed at a comfy 67. I have a horrible draft so even tho it may say 74 on the thermostat I'm lucky if it is even 70.
At some point this week I will put the outside cover on my ac. Before I go out to OK, I will wrap my AC for the winter.
