The dive bar where I used to win trivia every Wednesday back in the day had Gansetts for like $1.75 a tallboy so we loaded up on them while crushing trivia. It's honestly not that bad for cheap beer. Then they ended up switching to PBR which is actually grotesque and undrinkable.

I've never done the Devil's Lettuce, personally. It smells odd and I don't tend to like the way people act when they're on it so there's no appeal to me. I find alcohol to be good in moderation - I hate really obnoxious drunk people and never drink alone, but a couple glasses to loosen up at a gathering, that's all good. I rarely drink anyway these days, maybe once every 3 months at a party or something.

I used to like the lettuce when I was younger but nowadays it's too strong and it has the opposite effect on me personally that the majority of my friends claim. (I know everyone is different) and it just makes me paranoid and stressed out about regular things. If I'm hanging out with old tyme friends I'll take 1 tiny puff and that's it.

Nowadays I just stick to the few beers at night and a bit more on fri/sat nights and holidays.

And they're usually jokingly saying to me "Pete, when did you become such an old man?"

We do trivia every Monday. Consistently 1st or 2nd.
We've seen team after team get thrown out because they cheated with their phones or complained about other teams: it amazes me that people will cheat in a game that's free where if you win you get free wings. IDK, people are strange. (and the wings aren't that good)

I never knew the top-loading hot dog rolls were a New England thing until I moved away. Now I can't find them f***ing anywhere and all anyone sells at any of the stores are the crusty side-loading ones. It's objectively terrible.

Was never a big drinker. Even younger when the homies and I would post up Id never get to halfway thru the beer. If I drink it’s rum and coke but I also know sometimes when I drink I keep going. I also either become hella happy and buy people drinks or just wanna fight someone so I stay away.

I smoke mostly now just for medicinal purposes. Appetite, sleep, anxiety etc

However I find once and awhile if I dont occupy my mind the weed turns on me and the demons come out.

Just had a followup appointment for some back pain I've been having. I saw a new PA and she had the results of an MRI and xray I had done. She said she was amazed I was sitting up straight because when she read how screwed up my spine apparently is, she was expecting me to be in serious pain and all hunched over. Man I WISH I had some but Florida isnt a friendly state for it. One thing I miss about Nevada is I could order some at work, schedule a time, theyd come to my door and deliver it and I could pay with debit.

My daughter just had a job interview doing cancer research at Columbia University. I guess it went well but where would she live if she did get the job? She is from the outskirts of Victoria BC which is a small city. NY would be a crazy change from Kingston Ontario where she is now. Any recommendations? It’s one of those jobs you couldn’t say no to I would think.
