When Hurricane Erin hit Pensacola back in the 1990s, we actually walked outside when the eye crossed. It was one of the most surreal experiences I've ever had, seeing the sun shine and knowing the next wall was coming soon.

Lots of snow birds here wondering what they will find when they fly south for the winter.

Great move on their part- it's a huge place and they have the facilities. :thumbu:

Apparently we are in one of the zones that doesnt even have an evac point. Like we are dead last which still doesnt comfort me. Hearing lots of wind but cant see anything with steel bars over the windows.

Man made lakes all over the area but am told they self drain and have been draining for days or whatever.

Bring me back to 10 second earth quakes.

Im just paranoid im going to wake up surrounded by water but irrational fears compounded with anxiety.

Landfall expected between Venice and Cape Coral.... weather likely hazardous the next 24-48 hours as it slowly crosses the FL Peninsula to the Atlantic side..... watches/ warnings as far north as SC Upstate
