Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I'll never understand why stations send people out to do reports like this. Ratings, I guess, but good grief. They tell people to evacuate and take all necessary precautions, yet send their employees out just to say "look at all this wind and water!!!" Well......duh......... that's a hurricane for you...
Next time send them out in a thunderstorm while holding a golf club aloft and tell us to take cover if we're outside and a storm comes up
Or out to a field in the middle of a drought with a sparkler and tell us to be careful when setting off fireworks
This is why the storm surge is so high. Also it must stink to high heaven right about now.

My new hire's town took a direct hit. Praying she and her family left
Reed's an adrenaline junkie who made a name for himself chasing tornadoes in Oklahoma and getting a show on Discovery called Storm Chasers. He went from genuine scientist to adrenaline junkie and fame seeking. He's lucky he hasn't been killed yet. I really hope he left his 18 year old Yorkie at home. He brings it to chase tornadoes all the time.

In other news, here in southern NH it's sprinkling but thankfully according to AccuWeather it's about to stop.
Kids all came home with homework today. I don’t feel so bad that my 5th graders work makes me anxious, but struggling with 2nd grade math is concerning. My kids don’t get it. I don’t get it. Congrats now we’re all angry.

My new hire did not evacuate but she and her family are ok. The wave of relief that just came over me made me cry. It’s so silly but having talked to her yesterday and hearing her get emotional really stuck with me today.
